What's your inside source, message boards? It's funny how the players that start always talk about Saban talking about the competition, but what about the 5 stars that never see the field? You're telling me that these kids have 3 or 4 5 star players in front of them and the only thing they're promised is competition. Get real, you bama fans amaze me, y'all really drink that kool-aid.

i have never seen a quote where someone says they were promised playing time or anything beyond the ability to compete for a position. I'd be happy to read one if you can provide.

Yeah you're right. Saban tells all of these recruits that they're going to start on day 1 in front of all the 5* that are already on the roster. And the kids believe him.

As another poster pointed out, current and former players have been on the record extensively about the recruitment process and earning P/T. There really is no mystery about it. Of course, we want the most talent at every position, but they have to earn that P/T....BB8 is not the first disgruntled 5* we had leave. I say that as huge BB8 fan prior to the A-Day game. Everyone thought he was the guy...then Hurts came out of nowhere as his mobility won over the coaches and his attitude and leadership won the team.

The inside source is the recruits themselves. Saban does not promise any player they will play
