Yeah frick Bama for paying for his housing, food, education, etc. and expecting a return on their investment.

No, not everyone sees Nick Saban from the lens of a bitter, jealous, fan of a second tier program.

Of course I'm bias toward Saban since he coaches for a rival school, but to say the guy's main agenda isn't himself is a foolish assessment. This guy harps about his process and has 5 star behind 5 star that will never live up to their potential because they play the waiting game and never see the field.

In short he is telling kids its better to waste your career riding the bench for him than going somewhere and playing. Most of the kids that are successful there would play about anywhere they went and would get to the NFL even if they went to South Alabama.

Like when he announced he was leaving LSU before the season is over...yeah that happened

This, all day long. He lies to those kids and when they don't ever see the field it was because they didn't follow the process.

LOfrickingL

The average value of a college football player, based on revenues to the programs, is pegged at $178,000/year/student athlete.

The value of a (shared) dorm room, shite campus food, and the cost of an additional student in a classroom that is already paid for by other students' tuition dollars? A fraction of that.

They're getting plenty of "return on their investment."

Him calling Barnett a quitter seemed like a bit much.

From what I've been hearing about Barnett and his dad they're better off without him. There's an entitled, cancerous atmosphere around some football and basketball recruits these days and this seems like one of those situations to me.

I fail to see where Saban left LSU or Miami in the middle of the season.

He certainly left us when there were few opportunities to find a replacement.

You are mad and I understand. Saban is your idol and you wouldn't ever believe he could do something wrong.

Replace dad with mom she was absolutely insane. She had been deeply involved with the coaching staff for the entire time Blake had been there. It got to the point where they had to ask her to stop.

This is a stupid argument. Players receive schollys all the time for sports, and don't end up producing on the field for a variety of reasons. Why would anyone want to keep a kid where he is unhappy?

And you're exactly the type of fan who believes everything Saban (and Bama in general) must be evil, not wholesome and pure like the "auburn family".

Next you'll tell us where Saban will be going because he hates Tuscaloosa and he's a mercenary who will never stay long at Alabama.

It's called the recruiting process. They promise these kids the world to get them on their team and when it doesn't work out you have bad attitudes.

So he's slinging out all sorts of sage advice about (unpaid) student-athletes, in the wake of his backup QB transferring:

Saban = $7,200,000 salary

Saban= 5 National Titles

Saban = Wins at any school he coaches

Saban = Player development

SABAN = HE can talk all the shite he wants. He is the shite.
