And you think Booch Jones can?

What a great story. Lots of places like this throughout the South existed and flourished until the government decided to desegregate overnight and pass the great society into law.

This is a legit, really awesome story. I root for for Nick. No reason not to.

Holy cow, wouldn't have thought that was even possible in pre civil war Georgia. Any of it. That's crazy.
Cool story.

Part of the legend is that the local white sheriff liked the Chubb's and let them pretty much do their own thing. Back then, sheriffs had alot more power than they do today. Had it not been for that sheriff, it probably wouldn't have been possible.

Big frickin deal.
James Oglethorpe recruited my relatives to come from Scotland to Georgia in 1719 to protect the settlers against the French, Spanish, and Indians.
Too bad the freakin yankees burned down Darien, Georgia during the civil war.
And the county where your school is located is named for a past relative. The son of Gen. Elijah Clarke.
Thank goodness some of them eventually moved to the great State of Texas!

I'm not the one who started a thread about a Georgia shantytown. We gonna get you on the field before long.
It's not gonna be cool for you either!

No I simply called out how stupid it is to start a thread on a football forum about how incredible it is that a UGA player's ancestors started a shanty town in Georgia.
That is not making an arse of yourself.
And I don't see how you type so much since you keep your hands in your sister's crotch. EAD.

Yeah, it's an amazing story and very surprising. I study a lot of civil war, mexican american war, gold rush of 49, texas annexation (although I do skip reading about the poofter revolution in college station) and I just wouldn't have thought it possible for Chubbtown to happen.
Cool story, best of luck to the kid.
