I never knew this. Link came from Dallas on the UGA board, from the Dawgnation site recently spun up by the AJC.

It's a good read, and has little to nothing to do with football.

The reason I share this on the SEC Rant is because it's just so damn interesting. I'm in to local history and such.

Great stuff. Look up "salt of the earth" and you'll find the Chubb family portrait.
