Why is there even a trophy for this game. This game and the A&M vs South Carolina rivalry seem like the most forced ever.

That's pretty cool.
Would be even cooler if after the game (let's say if Arkansas wins) they take out the piece in the middle and replace it with the one with the Arkansas colors.

It is forced and will take a long time for either team to truly hate each other but its not like the trophy is hurting anyone. It just makes it a little more fun for the fans and players.

LSU and Arkansas was kinda forced (even though they had played 37 times before Arkansas joined the SEC), but it has become a good little rivalry.

This rivalry is 100 percent corporate. Shelter Insurance came up with the name, trophy, everything. You are absolutely right, this whole thing is forced and it's all to benefit Shelter Insurance.
