Alabama mooches off the federal government so they can introduce bills like this? They should be worried about the poverty and obesity epidemics in Alabama. And the roads. And education. And pretty much everything that can be wrong with a state.

has been considering recognizing an additional six national championships from 1910, 1913, 1914, 1983, 1993 and 2004...Now it appears that Auburn wants to add seven more national championships to its trophy case

If they have all those trophies, where have they been keeping them until now if not in a trophy case?

People in the state of Alabama care more about their football than most people do about, well, anything. They care so much, that they are willing to claim national championships through any means necessary.

This would be a funny joke if it wasn't true.

While I agree this is ridiculous, it's hardly the first time the government has wasted time/money debating sports.

He's trolling and doing a masterful job of it. In fact, it is so good he simply HAS to have a SECR account. Here's the deal for those outside Alabama (and those in it that don't keep up with government).

The governor vetoed the general fund budget passed by the legislature in the regular session, forcing a special session. In a special session, the governor sets the agenda and it takes a supermajority vote to add items. The only items in the session call were budget related. The senate's already passed a budget and kicked it over to the house so they're effectively done with their business and no matter what happens (house fails to pass a budget, gov vetos again, etc), by law the special session ends tomorrow.

He introduced a resolution that does nothing to a body that all but guaranteed lacks the votes to get it to the floor, in a legislative session that has one day left and it's made the Rant.

That's top shelf trolling if I've ever seen it.
