It was done to preserve Tennessee/UK H&H
If that were the case then it would have been done last year when they chose the 2 H&H's
It is just a way to balance the schedule without divisions

It looks like almost completely dependant on travel/distance...then you get State and USCe...seems to be the only one thats out of wack

Looks pretty good to me. As an Auburn fan, I'd be fine w/ this in football too.
The most random one is Miss State and USC. And it might have been nice to get Ole Miss and LSU together.

I have to admit, watching Ben Howland and Frank Martin go at it should be pretty entertaining.

Not surprised we got UT and UGA. (glad we avoided UK and UF twice a year), but MSU is kind of surprising. I suppose they were our 2nd West opponent in football with Arkansas when that format was still in place.

You mad that Johnny Jones > Mike Anderson?

About damn time they fixed the Tennessee fiasco. Not playing the Vols twice a season was an absolute joke. Kentucky's two permanent rivals in this conference have always been Vanderbilt and Tennessee. I'd much rather they gave us Arkansas instead of Florida, since that's actually a rivalry.

vanderbilt sure did get shite on
On the contrary. We get to play one of the biggest star programs in basketball history twice a year giving us back some of the national exposure we lost by playing them only once. It is great for recruiting and filling the stands. Not to mention Kentucky is our most fierce rival in basketball.
And regarding this particular season, we will have a top four SEC basketball program led by Damian Jones and a host of other good players.

I think Vandy is getting a bit overlooked this season. Stallings should have them bouncing back. Flirt with a dance bid.

LSU-UK is a more historic rivalry than either. We were just so bad for so long

LSU-UK isn't a rivalry at all. Obly when Dale was the coach, otherwise you're an afterthought to us. No different then how we view Florida. Games were only good because of Billy, otherwise we don't care. Tennessee and Vanderbilt are our rivals, and Arkansas really could be.

We got stuck with the nerds, the cold hillfolk and leg humpers...yuck

Vandy and A&M got the best draw IMO. Once Missouri gets back to form both teams will have solid permanent opponents which helps SOS and view ability/asses in seats.
VU will dish it out just as much as they get it. They're going to be a really tough out this upcoming season

Vandy will do more than flirt with a bid imo.
