Is LSU close to losing one of its most fertile recruiting grounds within the state?

quote:

That might ultimately be what occurs on Thursday evening when several of the New Orleans Metro area high school football coaches gather to discuss a potential boycott of the LSU Tigers football program.

quote:

Several of the area’s black head football coaches are meeting to discuss how coach Ed Orgeron handled the demotion of running backs coach and New Orleans area recruiter Jabbar Juluke in the aftermath of National Signing Day.

quote:

Area high school football coaches are unhappy with the way Orgeron handled the process, indicating that LSU’s first-year head coach took advantage of Juluke through the final weeks of the recruiting cycle to sign the prospects to letters of intent, then dismiss him, sources told SEC Country.

Ed O doing work! Such a great recruiter that he doesn't even need one of the biggest markets available to him! Genius if you ask me!

Note that Coach O is so smart he went & signed a N.O. black legend to recruit that area.

Some of the schools expected to be in attendance include McDonogh 35, Edna Karr, Landry-Walker, Warren Easton and St. Augustine. These are some of the primary public schools in the city

When did St. Aug become a public high school?

Why are the NOLA lefties treating Coach O like he's Trump, Jr. or something?

Things that boggle the mind.

If LSU clearly deceived these kids, it should be a valid concern for coaches trying to protect their players

So HS coaches are going to boycott their kids from going to LSU because LSU moved a coach out of a coaching job and into an administrative job?

And the story is ED O is the idiot? Good lord this board.

If only they would reverse the mob mentality and have the families punished if their kids sign WITH LSU.

You might want to know what you talking about before you open your pie hole! We just finished with the #7 class and Coach O finished higher in recruiting rankings then any first year coach in college football history!

These are a bunch of entitled numb nuts for pulling some crap like this! Do they really think what LSU and Coach O did right after NSD is something that he just came up with and we were the first to do this?

They are stupid if they think this will really make a difference and stick! Let's frick our student athletes by boycotting the flag ship university in Louisiana

It's not like he was a completely new coach from another staff and had tons of staff turnover. He was already on the staff and was recruiting many of those kids himself as DL coach. Also, he kept most of the staff in tact and he was named in late November. He had a good class regardless of any disclaimer statements, but you guys need to stop white knighting for the guy.

Like I said in the RB thread, if the story about Juluke's wife being sick is true, he can fix all of this quick by attending that meeting with O.

If Ed wanted to treat Juluke like shite he would have fired him, not moved him to the athletic department.
