Don't get me wrong, I'm all for saving the tatas. I just think this new trend of marketing pink football gear and seeing Nike sell so much more merchandise behind the guise of Breast Cancer Awareness has gone too far.

Anyone else hope it doesn't get bigger in the SEC?

Do some of you like this stuff?

Oregon released new Neon Pink helmets this morning: LINK

I just dont understand why it is always about breast cancer. I agree it is horrible but Football is a mans sport and plenty of men get cancer. I would like to see some dedication to that also besides just breast cancer.

The pink stuff started with good intentions but it has completely jumped the shark. I'm starting to have really negative feelings toward the pink stuff now. My son's Pop Warner team is wearing pink for all of October which is essentially half of their season. Then they will do it again in bball and flag.

I hate cancer but the next step seems to be if you don't change your uniforms to a permanent pink you want women to die. It's just gone way too far.

Because the fight breast cancer groups have marketed themselves brilliantly and could put on a "how to" clinic to other causes that seek a similar spotlight.

I just wish that they would try to bring awareness to ALL kinds of cancer, not just breast cancer. Prostate cancer is one that deserves just as much attention.

Why does everyone have to have such strong opinions on this issue?
