I hate Southern Miss but I hope all the Mississippi schools make it to Omaha just to give the NCAA the bird.

Not going to even get political, but it if they are truly looking out for the student athlete, it is COMPLETE BS to punish an athlete for a decision made by a group of old politicians. Does not matter if you support the bills or not.

Sites must report how they will provide an environment that is safe, healthy, and free of discrimination, plus safeguards the dignity of everyone involved in the event.

Say goodbye to NCAA tourney games in NC.

Sounds like they're targeting Mississippi with most of it.
On another note, which schools use Native American imagery that is offensive?
Do any even still have an Indian nickname other than the five that received NCAA waivers, and are likely not included in this?

So they got together to attack Georgia and Mississippi?
Over PC bullshite stop imposing your will on people NCAA wtf.
Who else has said flag?
I guess we are good because we voluntarily took down the flag.?
Also Omaha is the championship, in Nebraska.
This should affect regionals and super regionals? If so take these frickers to court for implementing laws to directly influence our revenue.

I don't think so.
Otherwise the Redskins would have some company

lol no.
As long as the Mississippi state flag displays the Confederate battle flag or the state of Mississippi displays the Confederate battle flag y'all won't be able to host postseason games that are predetermined/not merit based i.e. baseball regionals/super-regionals
Now even if y'all redesign the state flag y'all wont be able to host predetermined postseason events because of the bathrooms or whatever

Nope

The new requirement integrates appropriate protections against discrimination into the championships bidding process.
Merit based location sites like baseball shouldn't be affected

Liberals are the most intolerant people on the planet.

Pretty sure it just means you guys can't put in a bid to host conference tourneys or football playoff games or ncaa regional sites in basketball which I don't think Mississippi does anyway. Still stupid as frick. PC bs is ruining this country

You are spot on. Any liberal with an agenda is welcome on every damn college campus in the nation. But look how they treat someone with a different view- pie in the face, protests etc etc and they run off an opposing view.
On one hand they claim they stand for more tolerance while being the biggest intolerant people on earth. "We just want more tolerance in this country except anyone who disagrees with us because we are superior. We have zero tolerance for anyone who disagrees."
This shite is going to backfire one day, the only thing it's doing is turning more and more people against these idiots. There is a quiet movement taking place in this country that is sick of it.

Interesting how organizations are now allowed to have "values" and force them upon others, but individuals must not.

Could make a difference in basketball. UNC and/or Duke frequently play in-state in the early rounds at Greensboro or somewhere. The NCAA may decide to protect all the transgendered players for other teams and not make them travel to where they can't use the bathroom and have to dress out separately from the rest of the team.

Ole Miss, Miss. State and Southern Miss have all come out publicly against HB1523 which is clearly unconstitutional and an attempt to force specific religious beliefs upon everyone. The state of Mississippi is already suffering economic backlash because of this. The law will be overturned but not soon enough for me.

Obviously the feelings and desire for attention of morons like this dude/dudette are more important than rewarding the hard work of student athletes:

A man dressed in drag said Northpark Mall security told him to leave or he would be arrested. Zachary Salter, who is also known as Tara Shay Montgomery, posted a video to Facebook saying he was kicked out of the mall for no reason other than being a “gay angel.”
quote:
Northpark Mall officials said Salter tried to videotape inside the Victoria’s Secret store without permission. “He was told to stop his videotaping and that he had to leave the store and the mall immediately,” Northpark officials said in a statement. “The video that he shot was his walk out of the mall at the direction of our security officers. It had nothing to do with him being gay. It was that he refused to follow established procedures and was ordered out and escorted off the property.” Salter said he feels that he was mistreated. "I don't understand what is the crime of dressing up like an angel and walking around a public [expletive] mall," Salter said.
