facial hair or long hair, since that's clearly something very important.

I'm sure that will help with recruiting, too.

Bama players are becoming more and more like militant robots everyday.

Did Goff screw your mom or wife?

has to be one or the other for all your hate on the guy.

I'm thinking he might actually be be Mitch Gaspard.

Know who else didn't allow facial hair? Dennis Felton.

Some Alabama fans actually care about sports other than Football.

To be clear, I'm not high on Goff, but I don't hate him or anything---I'm pissed at Bill Battle's arse for how he handled the coaching search.

Neither does Paul Maineri or roughly 7 million other baseball coaches from high school to the major leagues. What idiots!

Yes, a lot of us very much do care about other sports, but most of us aren't acting like we have a screw loose over a seemingly solid if not unspectacular hire, regardless of the tire fire that can be Bill Battle's hiring process.

I literally just watched Paul Maineri give an interview on SEC Network about the LSU twins saying that he had a no-facial hair policy but he told one of them to grow a goatee so he could tell them apart.

Also, is there some sort of invisible beard on that guy or am I missing it? I'm sure a policy of not allowing flowing locks will really destroy our recruiting efforts around the South.

While the normal LSU student is able to shave at his (or her) pleasure, members of the LSU baseball team don't have that luxury, despite the "No Shave November" movement that's spread by work of mouth among men.LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri chooses to keep his players clean cut as a form of discipline, something he has done since his first year as a coach."I was only 25 years old, and I actually had a player on my team that was 24," Mainieri said. "So I had a no facial hair policy for all the players, but the coach was allowed to wear a mustache to look older and more distinguished than his players."Mainieri sported that mustache in his first year as a coach and on his wedding day.Now cleanly shaven, Mainieri keeps his players' beards tamed to see which players on his team are willing to make the sacrifice to be a part of his team.He added being a member of the Tigers isn't a democracy."I don't have time to poll everybody to see what the right move might be [in the heat of a game],"

LSU Baseball : no facial hair, discipline

OMG HOW DID HE EVER WIN ANY GAMES AT LSU!

You are certainly an inspiration. Your posts in the treads about Alabama basketball and softball in during the 5+ years you've been a member here leave me at a loss for words. My feeble mind was so overwhelmed by your contributions to the season long basketball thread that I can't even remember them. Same with the women's softball and their run to the WCWS.

I, like all other Bama fans, stand in awe of your dedication to Alabama athletics.
