Joe Linardi has 4 from the SEC right now in his mock bracket - UK, UF, Arkansas and USCe. I don't know about that. Long way to go, but the OOC performance has to hurt.

By comparison, he has 10 in from the ACC, and another as one of the first 4 out. Clemson as a 7 seed is surprising, as they are having a really tough year. Hell, they struggled beating USCe, Georgia and Alabama.

I think Kentucky, Florida and South Carolina are pretty close to locks. Florida and South Carolina could freefall and miss out, but as of now they are both in pretty good shape. Obviously Kentucky is in.

Arkansas and Georgia still have a shot.

Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Auburn are probably all battling for the NIT.

Kentucky is the only team that matters. Whatever other teams make it will be out after the first weekend

In all seriousness, I think those three are locks as well, and Arkansas will probably get in. USCe is playing much better with Thornwell back. I don't think Georgia will, unless they really pick it up.

I also doubt the ACC gets 10 in. Clemson has lost 4 league games in a row, now.

Arkansas is so strange though. I could easily see them finishing 10-8 in conference or something with 3-4 totally WTF losses and missing out.

South Carolina is a really good team with Thornwell.

The thing about the ACC is Clemson could lose 4 straight, then finish out winning 5 of 8 or something and have a Top 50 RPI and 6-7 really good wins and they'd get in as a 10 seed or something. That league is so deep.

I checked, but couldn't find the asterisk beside that game.

You should call the NCAA and get that shite fixed.

The only team other than those 4 that I think has a shot is Mississippi State. They are 12-4 right now and are playing lights out as of late, but their OOC struggles could still hurt them.

If you think you are baffled by this year's team imagine how we feel about them.

A lot of talent but they just sleep walk through some games.

If Arkansas doesn't make it this year, Mike Anderson is done for. One tournament appearance in 6 years won't cut it at a program like Arkansas.

IIRC, we aren't even the worse P5 conference which I think was the case the last two years

I'm surprised he still has us in. If we continue the same path as of late we won't make it but I'm trying not to be negative nelly in regards to EVERYTHING in hog sports so I still have a tiny amount of hope I guess.

Tonight on the road at A&M will tell us something as well. I know A&M hasn't been playing well but we have really struggled on the road under Mike so we will see. At 10-8 we are going to need to do some work in the SEC tourny imo. I think 11-7 is what we really need and even then it isn't for sure. Really need to win @USCe and @Florida, which won't be easy.

Damn you Sindarius Thornwell. We'd be 4-0 vs top 50 teams right now that rat bastard.

Eh, they have 3 top 15 teams right now in Arizona, Oregon, and UCLA. If Dillon Brooks could get it together, Oregon could be a very dangerous team. USC has lost 3 out of their last 5, but I think they could also be a tournament team.

Like Triple Daves said, barring any catastrophic implosions, the 3 SEC teams getting in right now are South Carolina, Florida, and Kentucky. Arkansas sits at #40 in the RPI right now, so I think they're fine if they just avoid more bad losses.

It would be nice to wake up one Saturday and actually enjoy quality basketball in the conference.
