Pretty clear

Very lackluster performance from all the sec teams that hosted super regionals and who would have guess Florida would go 2&Q in Omaha

I'd say the Big 12 was underrated, not the west coast

Wow

Anywho. Big 12 had a national seed. West coast didn't even host a REGIONAL. But I do agree the Big 12 probably was underrated. Just not as much as the west coast

Most people I think could see the SEC was overrated by season end. Not surprised at all. I thought honestly the ags were the best SEC team. I don't care who beat who. When they were done the SEC was done.

Offenses in this league overall are just flat out awful all of a sudden. I thought that going in to the tourney. Outside of A&M, teams can't hit.

Seems like a lot of young teams this year.

Before the postseason began, what West Coast school actually had a resume to host though? Utah, the winners of the Pac, had an abysmal OOC resume and won what was perceived to be the conference in a down year, but was probably underseeded as a 4 (ask Ole Miss). UCSB probably has an argument, but what other schools do? If anything, this year once again proves that the champion isn't necessarily the best team as much as it is the team playing the best when they get to TD Ameritrade.

West Coast teams play smart baseball. They actually have situational awareness at the plate.

SEC was weak and DVH couldn't even get his team to Hoover....

Arizona went 16-14 in the Pac-12 and are in the final 8 in the nation but would have finished 6th in the SEC based on record.

South Carolina went 20-9
Florida went 19-10
Tamu went 20-10
LSU 19-11

Seems like good records across the board were a result of some poor teams.

West coast was bad this year. Top 3 of big 12 is pretty good, but they only had 3 make it

A&M as a Top 4 seed was forced to play a team who should have received a Top 8 seed

TCU may have already knocked out their toughest competition

Seems more like cannibalism now, doesn't it?

Everyone had a crappy record playing each other.

Arizona was one of the best teams in the Pac-12 and barely had a .500 record in the conference.

But Arizona was 45-22-0 overall. So they pretty much won all their games outside of the Pac-12.

That seems like extreme parity that doesn't get rewarded come tourney selection vs. inflated conference records against bad teams.

I doubt that with all the California talent that the West Coast was bad

The SEC was loaded this season ... Really top heavy .... It's postseason college baseball... The team that's been the best all season (Florida/MSU/aTm) rarely wins it all... Hell, Miami had this CWS gift wrapped for them and went 2 and Q.

Top heavy?

The cream definitely didn't rise to the top at the end

Part of the deal is that the new park in Omaha sucks all o the offense out of the game. Pitchers aren't penalized as much for bad pitches.

Obviously that doesn't explain super regional performances, but I'm just talking about Omaha games.
