None of them are very good. Very little depth or insight, like the best print sportswriters used to give you.

The idiots on College Football News are the absolute worst - they all think they are funny AND insightful, and they are neither.

I guess Finebaum quit writing columns for ESPN - he retired the trophy for suckiest of all time.

Terrible. He is constantly whining on Twitter about something or other. Very tough to take him serious.

The worst part is that the majority of them just drift into whatever the latest twitter narrative is. I don't know if it's just wanting to fit in, lack of confidence or what, but it's the worst. Most of the guys on my least favorite list are the worst at that (and it is why I don't like them).

I think Andy Staples is really good.

Staples is a must-read for me. Good choice at the top.

Not sure what you have against Mandel, unless it's audio and you have to listen to his fingernails-on-chalkboard voice. I've noticed at times he's not all-in on the SEC, but that's OK for me.

I'd have Feldman in the Favorites, but otherwise my list would look a lot like yours.

I hate to agree with an Auburn fan about anything, but I must second the fact that CFN is absolutely horrible. I used to read that site regularly a few years ago, but it has become vapid and trite to an extreme degree over the past two or three seasons. Pete Fiutak is, in particular, abysmal. I honestly think he's watched and written about so much college football that he's become bored with it, and it shows through in every word he writes on the subject.

Ivan Maisel is the best CFB writer at the moment, and his podcasts have good content, but he is so monotone you go to sleep listening to him.

I like Staples for the most part as well.

Dennis Dodd might be the worst CFB writer in the entire country. His content is poorly written and poorly researched.

Dodd and Hayes from SN are perennial "HOT TAKE" artists. Guys like that just suck.

Agree about, Mandel is more of a middle guy for me. He's not awful, he just irritates when he constantly joins in with the "moral high ground" group. He's a pretty decent writer, though.

Amazing person to meet. Actually teaches journalism here at UA, so that's the only way I've met him, but he's a really cool guy. Working on a Manning piece right now actually.
