was Tray hurt, or did he go the way of El Torro "The Bull" Freeman?

Chuck Webb. Still the best I've ever seen at Tennessee, and it's not really close.

Justin Vincent
Ran for 1000 yards as a freshman at a 6.5 yards per carry clip

Next 3 years were marked by injuries and he was never the same.

I mean the obvious answer for me is Lattimore.

Not sure what you mean by the Etoro Freeman reference, but Blackmon missed a good portion of his career to injury. Missed a little to suspension too, but much more to injury. He was brilliant when on the field though.

I wouldn't say 'never panned out', more like, college career checkered and/or cut short:
LSU
WR Ed Dangerfield
RB Harvey Williams
RB Cecil Collins (breaking his leg vs Vandy in '97 was impetus for his law troubles)
RB Leonard Fournette (bad ankle all of '16)

I don't think Lattimore would count. He had a very good career in college. I'm talking about guys who would have been high draft picks but never even really got looked at by the NFL because not enough time playing in college.

Caddy Williams. Only year he was injury free at Auburn was his senior year. And then he was on fast pace to being great at Tampa and got hurt again.

Alley Broussard. Dude was a monster but tore his ACL in fall practice before his junior season in 2005. He returned in 2006 but was never the same again. Ended up transferring to a DII school after the 2006 season. Last I heard he was trying to be a rapper, but this was 5+ years ago. I've always though that pre-injury, he was one of the best backs we've had.
