IMO The Rant & SEC Rant has been slowly regressing into a cesspool of anger, hate & vitriol for many years. The same can be said about America in general as recently evidenced by the November Presidential elections, but that has been discussed ad-nauseum on other forums. The point is that we as Americans (& SEC fans) have never been more divided or resentful towards one another than we are today.

I realize that countless number of so called fans of a particular school are simply alter egos or trolls and they rejoice in stirring the pot and trying to get under their rival fans skin. You trolls know who you are....and you all are a waste of bandwidth IMO.

Recently, I have read countless posts talking shite about LSU, Les Miles, Ed Orgeron, Joe Alleva, Dave Arranda, Lane Kiffen, The Binder, & the failed or futile attempt to name Les Miles successor. "Fans" from most every school in the SEC, including LSU, and many others around the NCAA have already concluded that Coach O will be a bust.

Well I happen to strongly disagree with you trolls AND Nega-Tigers who are spewing venom and hatred. O is the most organized, passionate coach I have ever seen and he is well respected throughout Louisiana High School circles. The players absolutely adore him (just ask USC & LSU athletes) and I absolutely love the way he speaks to the media and fans. No coachspeak that Miles and most other coaches have hidden behind for decades. He tells the truth whenever he can & he'll tell you outright when he cant say anything. He will reenergize this sleeping giant and LSU will continue to be a force in the SEC West for years to come.

In conclusion, let's take a quick look at the SEC West current coaches and what they have "accomplished" during their respective tenures. I will admit that Saban & Alabama are the gold standard right now so I did not list Nick's numbers here. He is 65-12 in the league as the Alabama coach which is extremely impressive. If any fanbase in America can talk smack, it's the Bama fans right now. Any program in America would love to have the results that Saban & company have produced over the last decade or so. The rest of my SEC West brothers & sisters may want to look in the mirror before they continue the hate fest towards LSU. The grass is not always greener on the other side....

Coach O is 5-2 overall & 4-2 in the SEC at LSU, with a 10 point loss to Bama & 6 point loss to Fla, who will both be in Atlanta in 5 days. Time will tell about this hire, but I am thrilled with the direction of my team. I wouldn't trade coaches or past records with any of the teams listed above. Live Purple, Love O!
