I've always said he needs to rebrand himself. Chip said repeatedly at Oregon that he had coached pro-style offenses in his career. His system obviously doesn't work in the NFL with the roster limitations. If he wants to go back to the NFL where I believe he wants to be, he's going to have to show some versatility. He is a stubborn man and might never change but I always found it interesting that he made that disclaimer more than once. Bama OC would be a perfect landing spot to reinvent himself.

This is honestly more embarrassing than LSU hiring coach o. I've heard names like chip, spurrier, les, Canada. 2 of them are previous LSU OC targets, ONE OF THEM IS OUR OC, and one is retired and failed miserably during the end of his career and yet we have no idea what we're doing

So hiring either a former HC to be your OC or a current P5 OC to be your OC is more embarrassing than hiring a career d line coach to be your head coach? Whatever you say bud.

Also, no one wants Les or Canada. They're messing with you. No one thinks Spurrier. They're messing around. Chip is realistic. Sorry he didn't want to go work for coach O

He's not gonna do that by being Saban's bitch

He wanted complete control even when he was in the NFL. He would have little to none at Bama.

The thought of Chip taking this shitty of a job is just preposterous.

Gumps are delusional

Chip wasn't going to quit on SF. That's why he didn't consider LSU.

It's hilarious how many Bama fans thinks that when a coach needs to be a rehabilitated and have a chance for another career just come to Bama. If that was the case they ought to turn all of Alabama into a drug rehab clinic and then maybe our country wouldn't be facing the drug problems we do .

Yeah that's when he was trying to make something of himself as a HC. Totally different circumstances now.

The fact is he would take a P5 HC job over Bama's OC in a heartbeat. There's no way at this point in his career will he take a job where he will be constantly bitched at on national television by Saban.

Chip was never going to take an OC job in CFB. Maybe the NFL but, certainly not Bama.

A one and done OC in Kelly seems good for LSU so I'm all about that. Implement an entirely new offensive system based on tempo with a QB who wasn't trusted to throw inside the hashes.

Bama defense won't be nearly as deep next season too.

But if Kelly stayed two years that would be strong AF

They're talking about Chip to Bama on our local radio. There's a bunch of salty LSU fans in here.

Chip has to reinvent himself to get back in the NFL. He just got passed up by Sark.

With Hurts there he probably doesn't run power I but he definitely needs to show he's not just a HUNH spread guru.

I think it's a valid theory but I don't think Chip needs to OC at Bama to accomplish that goal. I'd be shocked if he was the hire or even had interest
