It's a shame we have to do it against college baseball royalty, packing the ballpark while only a meager few of our fans can take off work to fly to Omaha.

But Florida has persevered for so long. Coach O'Sullivan is truly deserving too. He doesn't have the monstrous resources that Manieri squanders year in and out. He is scraping together kids and coaching them up with amazing results.

This almost feels like 1996 when the OBC won the Gators first football title. Let's do this Gators!!!

I hope God smiles on the Gators tomorrow.

Nothing stopped your sorry arse fanbase from going to Omaha. They can't even make a regional in Gainesville

Whatever. Gainesville would be like BTR fans having to drive to Rayne to see a game.

You are FL...he isn't having to scrap together a team of good ball players.

Several players on LSU come from FL. Blake Dean is an example. And the Gators have the disadvantage of having FSU and Miami competing for the same kids. LSU has a monopoly on their state.

Plus, it's hard to compete against such a wealthy and loaded program.

I'll admit I haven't kept up, but O'Sullivan has done well recruiting a lot of + arm talent from in state, no?

What resources are they lacking? An argument could be made that for all of Foley's sustained greatness (and that's not an attempt at damning with faint praise), not focusing resources from the UFAD towards the program has potentially prevented them from even higher levels of achievement.

LSU was lucky enough to see the ROI on investing in the Baseball program very early on. Foley not making a similar investment is shortsighted. An argument could be made that it's a lack of vision at least with respect to UF Baseball...

The MLB has a monopoly on every state.

Plus, let's look up how many professional athletes come out of Florida vs LA. It ain't close, sheer population means you have an advantage in every single sport.

Before you say you got other schools to compete with, doesn't matter. Still plenty to go around and have all 3 big schools more talented than everyone in the country in any sport.
