Easily the most cordial and welcoming SEC fans I've met at a game. The game was a disaster but the pre and post game festivities were a blast. The Grove is as advertised...can't imagine what it would have been like for a 3:30 or 7pm kick. 40 dollar cover for a college bar is a little high but the scenery was worth it.

Wish it wasn't 12 years until we had to come back and I wish our team had put up a slightly more competitive effort.

Good game

Had a pleasant experience for the AGGIE game in Oxford a few years ago as well.

Found a super sweet tailgaiting spot in the grove, chairs included. My girlfriend even scored a super nice Patagonia sweatshirt, too bad it was too large.

Yeah, the Library is normally only a $10 cover but they make sure to take advantage of the big game weekends. I think it has been $60 before when Texas played in Oxford. Hopefully you were able to make it to the Square for dinner or got breakfast at Big Bad Breakfast. Do wish we played y'all more often as the UGA fans are normally pretty classy and Athens is a great college town to visit.

I've boycotted the library since the $60 covers in 2012. I'll never go there again.

Ole Miss and UGA not having a game each year is a travesty. Two of the most similar schools, towns and fanbases in the SEC.

What the hell, a $40 cover to a college bar.

You better have gotten some tail from that

Why should they play if they are the same?

I'm pretty sure it got up to $80 at some point. I forget the game but I remember walking by and asking just to see.

No telling how much they make on big weekends. At least 1000 people in and out a night and probably much more. 1000 x $40 is $40k just on cover a night. Plus at least $20 a person on drinks is $20k. That's a $120k a weekend being very conservative

People will keep going though

Agreed. Always enjoyed the game in oxford. Good folks, pleasant to talk to. Love the town. A couple years ago when they beat us they were very cool after the game. no in your face crap. Happy they won, as they should have been, but weren't a-holes about it.

See them every other year in Ttown and they are a great group to hang with. Aggies are my top but nothing wrong with Ole miss... Or state for that matter either.

Because unlike Tennessee and LSU fans I can tolerate them.

Looks like I might be making a visit to Oxford soon...

And A&M as well, when they visited last week I had an absolute blast with their fan base. Good, good people.

Is it still packed, or does the cover keep questionable clientele out?

Is that the bar with the mechanical bull? I was told it was a $100 cover for the Texas game.
