Looks like MSU will have to get used to an annual trip to Legion Field.

I'd rather be in Memphis or Shreveport than Legion field

Dang, I always like to make that trip regardless of who's playing. Not sure I will now.

Hopefully one that includes playing a PAC12 team.

Looks like SEC is still a part of it. Opponent will come from ACC or B1G. It's a weird partnership thing with the Gator Bowl.

a nashville bowl game is a perfect locale for SEC teams... not sure why they'd want to drop the tie in. It's pretty much driveable for every fanbase. The turnout always seems pretty good, too.

edit: never mind. clay travis is an idiot.

At some point I expect the SEC to pick up another one of the Texas based bowls since for now the Cotton is the only connection.

Actually, that's not correct.

Music City Bowl still has SEC team. Vs either ACC or Big10 team.

Not sure what the deal was/is, but we never had a good showing at that bowl for the couple times we played there in recent memory. Other than Vandy, did anyone else really roll out for that bowl? Seemed like our competition from the MAC or B1G or where ever always did.

Kentucky has played in it a couple times recently with good turnout.

Music City has been SEC vs ACC since 2006.

The only change is that it will be SEC vs ACC/Big10 now (SEC opponent could be either ACC or Big10, whereas before it was SEC vs ACC).

Doubtful, the Cotton Bowl is the only one worth a shite in Texas.
