Anyone else thinks he get's a job in SEC as a DC coordinator next season offensively he has no idea but he seems to be a legitimate defensive mind. Thoughts?

I hope not because that would mean A&M and everyone would be fricked

I would think he'd want to leave the SEC for a bit. Nobody wants to go from head guy to coordinator in the same region overnight.

I hope he lands no where near auburn, ever. the guy cannot beat UGA. It is so bad, I feel he intentionally does it.

he will be gone a year or move down to positional coach for a year or so, if he gets a job in a major conference.

He wont coach at all if he is fired. Florida would owe him tons from his contract and he'll ride that money out like the Chiz. You might see him pop back up at a smaller school like Southern Miss or FIU or you might see him as a DC at a larger program like UCLA or something. You might even see him hang it up completely and join ESPN as an analyst. But, as far as the SEC, hes done and never to return.

Won't UF owe him a big paycheck for a few years? I think he collects a check and gets his blood pressure down for a season or two.

His resume is still good enough to where it's probably beneath him to go from HC at Florida back to coordinator.
He can easily get a HC job at a lesser school if he wants one, IMO.

Talking to some A&M grads in Houston and they seem to think he will end up there. They say Sumlin needs to make defense a priory.

He would have to actively look for a job

I agree. I could see him as the head guy at NC State if they fire their head coach
Or if not another ACC or B12 school like that

It's what everyone wants but I think it's a pipe dream

While I would love that, I don't see Boom coming to College Station

Or he could go to UNC

I think if Pruitt gets a HC opportunity then Muschamp could be a good replacement for him. The difference in our defense from beginning of season to current is pretty spectacular (yes i know, we play in the east, arkansas in west, yada yada). So i don't think it's a stretch for Pruitt to be considered a HC candidate by the end of the year especially if the Dawgs make a run.

I hope he doesn't go anywhere in the SEC other than LSU to replace Chief when he's ready to retire. Boom is a shitty head coach but he can coach the hell out of a defense.

This is my biggest fear, that he ends up in aggieland. He's too young to retire, unless it's into broadcasting & I cann't see his personalty being a great fit there. He'll have $$$$ coming to him from Fla, so hopefully he takes some time off & by the time he's ready to come back, the aggies will either have a decent DC or Sumlin will be gone (wishful thinking perhaps ) to the pros.

lsu, auburn, texas, none of the coaches he worked with are there anymore and fsu never really replaced pruitt i think they just promoted within
