And to think I was worried about how good Auburn's defense was going to be this year.

Neat. Any other irrelevant facts you'd like to spout off?

You guys really are a bunch of pussies about Muschamp. You can thank him for how nasty your defense is and 95% of your team. Muschamp can coach defense. Anyone claiming otherwise is full of shite.

He maintained our defense at the level he inheirited it for the most part, so yeah! Thanks Will you managed not to bungle 1/3 of the team you took over, good for you buddy a 33% or as its called on the Plains- an Auburn "C".

I'd bet money Muschamp would have done well this season at UF.

Most successful program over a 20 year period. Since we started doing SEC Title Games Florida is at worst equal to Bama. In both the 90s and the 00s Florida was more successful in a single decade than Auburn has been in a half century, so like I said its probably hard for Barn fans to put it in the proper perspective.
Don't waste your energy trying to explain something those fans can't fathom.

Last season he had essentially an NFL line and an NFL running back and his offense was still one of the worst in SEC. Muschamp would have struggled to get 2010 Auburn above 20 ppg.

He would have made Cam Newton a TE, would have platooned him with Nick Fairley depending on which one was blocking better during the week.

I never claimed he was a good offensive coach. He's the sole reason your defense is stacked, though.

I don't think he would even say that. I bet he would at least give T-Rob some credit and probably a few more coaches unless you think Muschamp did all the d recruiting by himself.

Georgia Southern beat Muschamp's defense without completing a single pass. I'm glad to see his ineptitude has been passed off onto someone else.

Everytime I start to like Auburn, I run into a certain type of Auburn fan and then, poof, I can't like Auburn.

no doubt about that but a good defensive staff is easier to put together then an offensive staff

as shown by muschamp's inability to find anybody worth a shite other then a good ol coach

uf had stacked defenses before muschamp and they will after

i think bullard and mccalister would vouch for collins and rumph so far they are putting up way better stats then they ever did under champ

thats about a full season worth of stats in muschamps less aggressive defense

i mean yall do know muschamp also inherited a pretty damn good defense and so did meyer and zook before him to say we're gonna miss him at all is just wrong

FWIW, It didn't work for Will, but I like the guy, he's just not head coaching material, shouldn't be let around an offense, but he can recruit defense. I don't think he's really the problem at Auburn.

He's certainly not the problem. I agree that he's not ready to be a head coach quite yet. I see him being Saban-esque in the future. More of a CEO type with hands only on the defense. If he had put together a better offensive staff, who knows what would have happened.

Really? Because he inherited Dominique Easley and Shariff Floyd from Meyer
