Yankee General Joe Hooker had Lee outnumbered 3 to 1 still got his arse whipped.
General Lloyd Fredendell who was gutless and cost many American lives in North Africa. Then Patton had to clean his mess up

You 2 idiots probably never heard of the 2 Generals I listed. Typical under 30 crowd if it happen before 1980 it did not exist.

Wrong. I'm familiar with both. Especially fredenhall given the books I've read on Patton. But it's still a stupid comparison and you need to go back to complaining about Lebron James on Bamamag.

This has nothing to do with the SEC. Stop starting shitty threads.

Do you have to try or does being so off base with your comparisons come naturally?
And seriously, the best response you have to being called out on your shifty posting is a high school game? Try harder.

Muschamp may be John Bell Hood. Someone clearly elevated beyond their capabilities.
Or maybe Crassus.
Or Field Marshall Montgomery.

Gen. Lloyd -Fredendall- was a typical peace time general totally unready for the challenges of war. He dispersed his units all over in penny packets, easy prey for the experienced Germans. He had built a bunker so deep in a ravine that Ike said he was ashamed of it.
Patton had a lot of baggage, he was rich and well connected (his sister dated General Pershing) he was eccentric and said whatever he liked. He had not too far in the past been relieved as G-3 in the Hawaiian Division for a report he wrote critical of one of the regimental commanders.
Patton came in in relief of Fredendall in N. Africa and in 3 weeks he defeated the Germans.
Two years later, Gen. Eisenhower said: "Every time I get promoted, I get attacked."
Patton said: "Every time you get attacked, I bail you out."

Crassus was an interesting guy. He was not only the richest man in Rome, he was perhaps the richest in all history.
Jealous of the military success of fellow contemporary Romans Julius Caesar and Pompey he 'bought' his own army and went off to fight the Parthians.
The Parthians refused to fight the Roman way and ultimately killed both Crassus and his son.
Upside: Played by Lawrence by Oliver in 'Spartacus'.
Monty was a horrid incompetent too. At his greatest and only victory he outnumbered the Germans 2-1 in men, 5-1 in artillery, 4-1 in tanks and 6-1 in aircraft.
And the Germans ran out of gas.
