Mullen's legacy at State?

It appears Dan's time in starkville could be coming to an end. How do you feel the greatest coach in your history will be remembered after losing at home with the best TE in the draft playing his last regular season game? Does it bother you he is actively trying to get another job? Does it hurt his chances of getting a statue or facility named after him knowing he wants out?

that he had Dak at QB for a few years.

He won 9 games with Chris Relf at QB.

And only 8 with Dak his senior year. LOL

I don't see Dak rated as a tight end on any draft boards. I see him listed as the 3rd or 4th best QB in the draft.

Mullen's legacy is that of consistency, in that he consistently led the Bulldogs to bowl games, consistently lost to teams better than his, and consistently fluffed his schedule with shitty non-conference opponents.
To date, Dan Mullen has one win over an SEC team that finished with 9+ wins.
Since Dan arrived in Starkville, Mississippi State has played the following non-conference opponents:
2009, 2012 - Jackson State
2009 - Georgia Tech
2009, 2010 - Houston
2009, 2012 - Middle Tennessee State
2010, 2011 - Memphis
2010, 2013 - Alcorn State
2010, 2011, 2014 - UAB
2010 - Michigan
2011, 2015 - Louisiana Tech
2011, 2014 - Tennessee-Martin
2011 - Wake Forest
2012, 2013, 2015 - Troy
2012, 2014 - South Alabama
2012 - Northwestern
2013 - Oklahoma State
2013 - Bowling Green
2013 - Rice
2014, 2015 - Southern Miss
2015 - Northwestern State
That's right, he has played five P5 non-conference opponents in his seven years in Starkville.

He changed things at State. Going from bottom to the top and going to 7 straight bowls. That is something That is unheard of. Will State continue winning 8-10 games a year? probably not but never will go back to the croom era . Where we lost to Maine , State losing 3-2 etc etc. Those days are gone. We can thank Mullen for that

definitely raised standards and made the fanbase buy in to competing. I'll give him that

this year is a perfect example. In 2008, state went to the liberty bowl and beat a ucf team and the fan base was pumped. This year could be the same bowl and nobody wants to go to that bowl cause it's not good enough.

No doubt.
Y'all have a very nice stadium and have been a consistent program under Dan.

Ole Miss isn't too far behind. When Tunsil, Robert, Treadwell, and possibly the Kelly goes pro. Freeze is gonna leave too

Well, I guess Freeze is gone next month then.
Keep hoping for that in one hand and shite in another and see which one fills up first, redneck.

His legacy is bringing Scientology to Starkville. Hundreds of people in the community now pray to David Miscavige and audit each other.

Bad recruiter, very good coach and player developers. Give credit where it's due. They gotta star learning how to get more talent into Starkville if they're gonna do more. Gotta pay to win in places like that.

He will still stay at Ole Miss for little longer but if he continues have success and those big programs come calling, don't think he isn't going to run. Since when is a red neck an insult. I guess your a city slicker? If you live in Mississippi, your a red neck. Some more than others.
