Before "The Junction" is what it is today, it used to be the single-point convergence of about 5-6 different roads, and affectionately called Malfunction Junction. The entire intersection was reworked years ago, so the name remains and is now a huge gathering place outside the stadium prior to games.

Also was rail road tracks that ran right through campus.
If you look on the main walk. It's railroad tracks in the sidewalk to remember it.

That's actually a pretty cool fact. I'd like to check that out later when we get there. What era/years was the train there? I'm a history nerd so that'd be kind of cool to see.

I just hope they clear the tents and cars out of the way before we play in their pasture.

That is possible. I never studied agriculture at Auburn besides the easy A in Dr. James Brown's horticulture class. And yes, I'm being serious.

Seriously? The junction is so-called because it used to be a screwed up intersection referred to as "malfunction junction" and the name had nothing to do with tailgating, even though some people did tailgate there. Most people tailgated where the new book store now is. Now that the road was removed and filled in there is no more "malfunction", it's simply "the juction" and happens to have more room for tailgating and also just happens to be right outside the stadium. Nobody is trying to copy your pretentious fake asses.

NevER seen a collection of fans want to be AU so badly. This is some serious flattery. Thank you, State fans.
