Wes Johnson is headed back home. The former Mississippi State pitching coach plans to accept the same position at Arkansas a source tells The Clarion-Ledger.

Good. Missed the days Arkansas has the #1 ERA in the conference.

Good hire. There must be a lollipop guild in NWA that he wanted to hang out with.

Probably because all you guys tried to do was troll LSU while they were playing in the Supers. Which made no sense

His family never left Arkansas since he coached at Dallas Baptist and State from what I understand. This is a home move all the way. Good for him.

A straight forward answer that makes sense... on the SECr?

No doubt you guys will replace him with another quality coach.

So we had one coach leave last year for HC job at Auburn, one coach leave this year HC job at Kentucky, & Wes to Arkansas. What part of that qualifies as a sinking job?

I'd say that is pretty damned impressive

I think I'm excited. More of guarded optimism I guess.

This was discussed long before it happened under the table. His family is there and it was the one job he would take if it got open. He loved it in Starkville but home calls and you are going to go back home when the offer is made.

Solid coach and a great hire for the hogs.
