Three weeks into the season is a very small sample size, but would you agree they are the most explosive in the entire SEC?

Not sure about the entire SEC after 3 games but for sure they could be.

I think Georgia will prove to be a good test, defensively.

Regardless, UGA is going to have to find points (even if we limit MSU to 24). That is the real concern for UGA.

As a state fan, I will say that our offense has the biggest upside of any in the league.

What I'm not completely sold on is the consistency. Saturday was what happens when Mullen's offense is clicking on all cylinders, when we are able to run the ball effectively with our RB's and our QB is making plays with his arm.

That was a clinic on execution, the more critical question is how does it perform when everything isn't going right.

Depends... Is LSU's defense "good", "bad", or "horrible"?

Not taking anything away from MSU but that was the worst defensive performance I have seen LSU put on the field in years. The question is did MSU make a really good defense look bad OR did MSU look really good against a bad defense OR is the answer somewhere in the middle...

If that O line is as good as it appeared to be the other night, I dont think there's any question. Now a lot of that could have been the decimated LSU D line. I heard someone say they were running 3rd string players across the line all night. It's all contingent upon the O line. If we have the O line, Dan is going to field the most potent Offense in this league.

I concur.

I will say though, if Fitzgerald stays healthy, that offense will be hard to stop. Kid is a beast!

I mean the smart money is on somewhere in the middle. I don't think even a fool would call LSU's defense "bad."

But but but buttttt..... BYU didn't even cross the 50 yard line!!! LSU's defense is best in the SEC right??? That must mean that MSU's offense is the best in the country!!!

I am not one of these guys from the tRant but I was just really impressed with State's offense. They really had LSU on their heels all night and there was never an answer. I was really worried about it leading up to the game and my fears came true.

It was cool seeing that fake QB sweep then throw downfield work. Lane tried it twice a game to no avail

Credit Mullen the offense they run is a perfect fit for the QB

It is all somewhat subjective... We really will not know if LSU's defense is "bad" until they play some more games, just like we will not know if MSU is "most explosive" until that offense faces some more quality defenses...

I agree that it is somewhere in the middle right now but a couple more games could move the needle one way or the other...

they weren't rocking 3rd string until after 2 players had been ejected. Our OL still did a good job. First 2 quarters are the ones to look at if analyzing. Regardless our DL is deep and I think that is the key to victory and why I think we can take them. We really need Malik Dear back... there is a possibility he comes back this week but I think they hold out one more game

You do realize that Farrell who was the 2nd ejected player is our 3rd string DL right and a true freshman? When Ed Alexander(NT) went out early that made it our top 3 DL out. Lawerence our best, Herron who hasn't played a snap yet and Alexander. At a position that is already thin and completely messes up your dline rotation, equals being doomed!

By no means am I using that as an excuse, just clearing it up a little.

Fitzgerald the QB reminds me of Jake Coker who played at Alabama a couple of years ago. Really enjoy watching him play.

He's changed our offense each year depending on the starter. We were much more run heavy under Tyson Lee and Relf than we were with Russell and Dak. Moving more back to the running attack now due to Fitz's size and speed.
