Nice guy. Think he got more credit than was deserved, but he was AD during Mississippi State's best athletic years. Pretty good hire, IMO. Interested to see how he does with that budget.

I have heard from people that weren't impressed with him, thought he got the job thru family connections and have been in rooms with him and he is kind of a shrinking violet, and I think that led some to think less of him.
He did do great things for State, and I think people focus too much on coach hires and such, but I think he is real good at the branding and business side.

A lot of great things happened for State athletics during his tenure. Whether or not he was directly responsible for them can be debated. What cannot be debated is that donations and bulldog club membership are damn near triple what they were when he started.
So take that for what it's worth.

The guy can fundraiser and build shite with the best of them. That's why Florida hired him. Y'all about to renovate the O Dome
