There's a big difference between fans on a message board calling for it and D1 football coaches. Come on, man.

I understand that. My question is why now? AJ Brown is just a if not bigger of a recruit than Willy. Why didn't it happen when he signed? Willy committed to OM two weeks ago. Why didn't it happen then? What's special about this camp?

Eat a dick. I'm not saying it's true, you fricking dimwit. But y'all are acting like he didn't fricking say it. He fricking did.

OM wants Willy to go and help recruit.
Willy don't want to go.

Why does this seem so far fetched? There's an eight page thread on ED talking about running off the SHS coaches for losing Gay and Brown. Sounds like they're just trying to follow through and got called out on it
Believe it or not, those idiots are in the minority at State and none of them have the power to get a head coach at a high school fired because of a kid going to a camp at a rival school. Try again

Coaches feel the heat from the fans and boosters on message boards. Especially those fans and boosters that are tired of getting shite on in the hometown high school and demand something change. Message board rhetoric can spread

One recruit lost can be chalked up to a random occurrence.
Two recruits lost and you may be looking at a developing problem

I don't think anyone would threaten their D1 coaching job to appease EliteDawgs.

I can promise you our coaches don't feel any type of "heat" from fricking Elite Dawgs

Have you not learned yet, we will never be punished. There is but one way to deal with the NCAA. Deny Deny Deny, they can know what they like, what they can prove without the power of subpoena in another matter altogether, they have already been exposed as toothless.
Shure a few scholars possibly but it is well worth it to be where we are rather than where we were.

Well then why didn't it happen when Gay committed to OM? Isn't that a bigger deal than him going to a camp?

I think you've mistaken the Rebs for the program over in Tuscaloosa. The NCAA typically doesn't spend 3 years somewhere without there being some punishments

Once again...I don't think anyone really believes it's an actual msu coach that said this.

I just used the ED thread as an example.
I just find it coincidently peculiar when a group of fans gets so bent out of shape that they start demanding that certain coaches get run out of town, and lo and behold, a couple weeks later, a player insinuates that his coach received remarkably similar threats.
Again, I just find it interesting. Draw your own conclusions, and I'll draw mine.

If true, shame on the coach for putting Willie in that bind. He should have ignored the threat and got his lawyers ready.

The only people calling for that was people from ED. So you think ED has that type of power?

You can't state that with absolute certainty. The only people we know that are saying that are the ones posting in on ED. there's no way to know other people that are saying those things that don't post on ED....
Every fan base has dumbasses that we know about because they're posting their dumbassery online.....there's also plenty that don't post online. You don't know about those dumbasses....because they don't post online.

was told by his HS coach he may be fired if he visits OM. State had nothing to do with this. Willie Gay attends Starkville High School. I'm sure all the Miss Black Bear homers at SHS, namely Kevin Farmer, are on notice that they will not steer another kid to OM.
Posted on 7/22/16 at 3:13 pm to pankReb
Maybe so.
I tend to believe more State fans/coaches/boosters would realize that the problem is our own coaches rather than a high school coach because Starkville isn't the only in-state high school we have been missing out on recruits from lately. Most state fans blame it on either Mullen's lack of recruiting or chalk it up to Ole Miss cheating, not the loyalties of a high school football coach

Congrats Matlock.
What do you expect a fanbase to say? Let's line up and suck his dick? OF COURSE WE'RE UNHAPPY ABOUT IT.
He's lying or misinformed about who or what was said by whom, though.
I feel like we're all talking circles..
