I keep reading all these posts about how this team had the youngest team last year or that team or so on ... but here's who had the most true freshmen snaps last season:

But you have to wait 2-3 years to play at Alabama.

This is impossible. We know if you go to Alabama you have to sit on the bench for three years and wait your turn.

Bill Snyder has to be getting close to the end.

But if he is still coaching in 2-3 years that will be a heck of a team.

I would not be surprised if Snyder forces the new AD's hand and retires at a awkward time. Forcing them to name his son as coach.

Maybe just me, but kind of weird the Top 4 teams are all Big XII teams, not so surprisingly the bad ones at that.

I don't know whether to say that the Big 12 will have some real experience going forward or grimace that they are reduced to playing that many freshman.

As for Bama or South Carolina, if you have a freshman more talented then the guys ahead of him... put him on out there.

I do not like Moosechimp but he is a good recruiter and Spurrier left the pantry pretty empty on the way out the door. I think South Carolina is probably going to play a lot of freshman this year as well and that is OK. It might cost them a game or two but I think it puts them in a strong position moving forward.

2017 might not be great but I think South Carolina could put a run in at the East in 2018.

To be fair, about 700 or so of that snaps are from Jonah Williams at RT. But a lot of freshmen did play, despite the popular narrative that you have to sit and wait.

When you are up 50-0 in the 4th quarter, the whole freshman class get to play.

How many of those 3010 snaps did Hurts account for? I am drawing a blank. What other true freshman played?

*I just read the post up top about Jonah Williams at RT.

About 1500 are Hurts and Williams. The rest are the roughly 12 true freshman that got snaps.

I see that someone is trying to throw SCAR into the mix for offseason champs and kings of the hype train. That's our territory.

Face it buddy. Bret Bielema is Bert. Muschamp is Moosechimp. The will of the people has spoken. Better to embrace it then stand against the tides of destiny.
