Football has leveled off because head coaching hires plus offenses going spread. Leaves the defenses on field too long plus the spread is what the other leagues had to do because they couldn't get the talented players.

State has to be top 5.

PG: Lamar Peters, So - 4* (#97)
SG: Nick Weatherspoon, Fr- 5* (#23)
SF: Q Weatherspoon, Jr - 4* (#104)
PF: Mario Kegler, So - 4* (#53)
C: Schnider Heard, So. - 4* (48)

Bench:
Eli Wright, So - 4* (#81)
Tyson Card, So - 4* (#98)
Abdul Ado, RFr - 4* (#120)
Aric Holman, Jr - 4* (108)

Return everyone from last year and add Ado and Nick. Should be much better (hard not to be).

LSU's basketball team with Ben Simmons would beat Missouri's team by 40. They're just like us. All hype, won't back it up. Lock Missouri up for as a .500 team. Might get them in the NIT. It might.

dude you keep forgetting things when you compare mizzou to lsu. ON TOP OF THE FRESHMEN TALENT, they have leadership.

LSU didnt have veterans like Barnett as a jr 12 ppg, phillips as a so 11 ppg, puryear as a so 12 ppg, to help with the youth.

Thats why I hate this stupid comparison. O ya, and mizzou added a GT who averaged 16 ppg and shot 42% from 3.

The whole "mizzou's stacked recruiting class" is fun and all, but mizzou has talent, leadership, experience, and elite freshmen.

I dunno if that's true ... but I know Frank Martin's Gamecocks will be ballin' their asses off, playing good D, kickin arse and taking names with Silva, Felder, Kotsar, Gravitz, Keita, Geiye, et al.

Leadership is debatable...but a step up from Kim.
Experience? Only won 8 games last season.
And do you mean an Elite freshman?

South Carolina next year is probably the least talented team on paper in the conference

Not to say they won't be decent, but there's not a Top 50 player on that roster

Whats debatable? If you know anything about sec basketball, Phillips was on of the best PG's, WITH a team that couldnt shoot to save their lives(the only scorers from last years team return next year).

You know whats funny? Mizzous team last year only had four D1 level players. Thats how bad Kimmie recruited and coached. So stop.

2 top 10 recruits ???
3 top 40 recruits ????
Ya, just that one kid, did I do this right?

they had hornsby and quarterman who were both seniors that scored in double digits. they also never beat anyone by 40. its a legit comparison, but thats all it is. mizzou should make the tourney

The SEC East is going to be very very tough by late January of next year.

Mizzou might finally pull their weight at least.

Kentucky and Florida are going to be very good. South Carolina under Martin with his hand picked talent that fits his system will be dangerous from here on out.

It's going to be interesting seeing what the West does.

Hornsby and Quarterman were both really solid upperclassmen on that LSU team

Mizzou has a high ceiling next year, but people have the right to be skeptical

So, he reclassified? I failed to see him in the 2017 rankings.
