What time period is modern day?

Many college football historians consider from the 1964 season onward to be modern day. Seasons prior to '64 (except for the WWII/Korean War years) the one-platoon system was in effect...

63 against Kentucky in 1997 is the most. Tulane, which left the SEC after the 1965 season, got a nice sendoff in their final SEC game with a 62-0 loss to LSU for the third time in eight seasons.

Haven't read the thread, but I'm thinking its 52 against Arkansas last year and 56 against Arkansas in '01. I can't think of a time we ever scored more than that since the 70s.

Motherfrickers. Please someone prove me wrong

Was at a buddy's house playin backyard ball when this game occurred. Remember it well. They jumped out 21-0 and we were like wtf, game over.

Think that game was in Jackson, MS and was a double header with State also playing.

Tennessee-31 in 2013*
Florida-42 in 2014
Vanderbilt-51 in 2013
Arkansas-38 in 2007
TAMU-40 in 2007

Nope. Per College Football Data Warehouse, State played ULM in Starkville that day.

Don't know the most, but we put 49 on Miss State in the Orange Bowl only 2 years ago

Just looked, actually 51 versus Georgia in 1999. They kick our but almost every year, so it is hard to brag about a 51-48 win.

Speaking of most points scored against an SEC team. I know this school isn't in the SEC, but I remember a couple of Rodney King style beatdowns by Southern Cal against the pigs back in the '06 and '07 seaons when they took them to the woodshed to the tune of 70+ points both games.

2 points against Auburn... They nipped us by 1 in an epic 3-2 battle during the Croom years.

Wait, you said most.. not least when actually scoring and not being shut out. Thank goodness for our "D" that got that safety.

So, when people bitch about Mullen this year, there is no way I will let that slide even if we go 5-7
