59 against A&M is the most that comes to mind. We could've hung 100 on auburn in 2012, scored a touchdown on our first 7 possessions.

For LSU posters, the modern era began in 2000. However for the question in the OP, they may expand that back a few years.

So bama only played football in the Bear years and resumed in 2007

LSU's record is 63 vs. Kentucky in 1997.

I guess that is to be expected from the perennial doormat of the SEC for so many decades.

Well that was the turn of the century, so 21st century has a nice ring to it while 20th century sounds well, not as modern. Just happens to be ideal for LSU arguing points.

But I think since the division split and creation of championship game in 92 is fair.

There are players born in 91 that are already technically retired from the NFL so anything before that can't be modern era IMO. Not to mention 25+ years is considered a generation, so anything previous was a previous generation of players

I'll take those late 80s LSU teams if you want to go back a little farther. That's pushing it though

OT games should be in their own category of course, particularly those ridiculous 3+ OT games.

42 against Bama is our highest ever against a SEC team, I do believe.

Had to hire an SEC coach to do it though

Edit: I know he was born in Ohio, still an SEC coach

One of Bill Curry's Bama teams beat Ole Miss like 62-27.

Was at a buddy's house playin backyard ball when this game occurred. Remember it well. They jumped out 21-0 and we were like wtf, game over.

Yep. That was the game when Bama was down, the team had a huddle near the end zone and had a 'come to Jesus' moment. Curry said after the game that the coaches felt the team had come together.

Yeah I remember listening to this game on the radio as a kid, we were getting poor reception and we heard a score of being down 21-0 early and were like WTF and the next update we heard maybe 30 real time minutes later we were up 35-21 and were like "What in God's name is going on at that game?"

I think for SC was the 65-39 beat down of Miss St in 95?

Taneyhill was en fuego that night. He set more than a few SEC passing records that night if I remember correctly.
