With the possible exception of Michigan, hasn't every team on this list won a NC during this timeframe?

Michigan split with Nebraska in 1997. Notre Dame has not won a title since 1988.

I remember the 2011 Texas A and M team being vastly overrated.

Yep. I also remember the 2012 team being vastly underrated, to a greater degree (5 spots).

The CBS article is a HUGE pile of garbage for every team they list.

The other thing doesn't matter to me. LSU has been one of the top 5 best teams since the 2000s.

2 national championships
3 national championship appearances
4 BCS bowl wins
5 BCS bowl appearances
4 conference championships
5 conference championship appearances
5 division titles
9 bowl wins
15 straight bowl appearances
9, 10 win seasons
151 wins 45 losses
0 losing seasons
0 season under 8 wins
15 National Award Winners (counting individual awards won ie Dorsey counts 4)
12 AP All Americans (counting seperate year winners ie Dorsey counts as 2)
15 1st round draft picks
91 draft picks

Some people aren't understanding, it's basically a list of the cumulative over/rated underrated'ness of a program by simply comparing their preseason AP ranking to their final AP ranking and adding it all up.

No, no, no. We are the most under performing team in the land.

Despite actual statistics that say otherwise.

I understand it, but it's flawed by design.. the programs listed are the perennial national powers during that time... they are the ones most likely to be ranked in the Top 10 of preseason rankings and rightfully so.

As such, they have a much smaller window for improvement in their rankings, and much larger window for regression... as opposed to teams like Washington State and Cincinnati, who have never created a splash in the national scene, yet have a huge window for improvement in the rankings because they're almost never ranked to begin the season.

Those 10 schools have accounted for approximately 14 of the 25 NCs during that time.. and appeared in, or prior to the BCS, been considered for numerous other championships 2005 USC, 2003 Oklahoma, 2011 LSU, 2012 Notre Dame...

It's because of 02 (Zook's first year), 2010 (Meyer's last year), and 2013 (our glorious 4-8 season under Muschamp) for UF.
