By the time the Citadel game rolled around, I don't think any of our players or coaches even gave a damn. As embarrassing as it was, I remember walking out of the Kentucky game in shock, and it started the whole train wreck of a season.

I'd actually argue for that UK game. That absolutely shook our confidence going forward and we never recovered.

You make a good point ... I might not have been looking at it strictly from a fan's perspective.

I remember after the KY loss being pissed, but not devastated or demoralized. I don't think the team felt that way either ... if I remember correctly the team actually started back biting, especially among some of the asst coaches.

But after The Citadel loss, there was devastation and demoralization everywhere. You had major boosters lighting up the phones ... players threatening to leave the team and stirring up the poop on twitter. And Tanner got the call hours later from Tom Herman that he had changed his mind. Then you had several committed recruits bail within 72 hrs. I dunno ... I cannot remember that much reverberation after a game in a long long time.

Meh, maybe if we weren't a 3 win team. If that had derailed some great season we were having or even if were kind of decent Id be more pissed. But our worst team of the century losing to the Citadel? Meh.

I would go with the 3-pt. loss at Tennessee as the most demoralizing. Had picked up a first down inside the UT 20, then lost a fumble on the same play with less than a minute to go.
