More egregious championship rematch?

Which of these rematches for a national championship is most indicative of a flaw in its sport's system:
(A) The one we all know. 2011 LSU vs Bama. LSU won the "Game of the Century" in Tuscaloosa, won the SEC title, only to lose the National Title in a rematch against an extra motivated Bama team.
(B) A hypothetical matchup. Say Florida and Kentucky win out and meet in the NCAA Tournament finals. It would be their 4th meeting this year (correct me if I'm wrong) with Florida winning all of the previous 3, including the SEC Tourney title. Say Kentucky wins one, albeit the last one, out of the 4 matchups, but they are now the team everybody will remember as the best of 2014.
Personally I think B (Kentucky vs Florida) is more outrageous. Not that Kentucky wouldn't deserve it because the Tourney is the system of the day, but it REALLY makes the regular season meaningless.

LSU v Bama. Basketball is a tourney sport as well as a sport that often plays the same opponent more than once in a season. CFB is neither a tourney sport nor one where opponents play more than once.

Not in NBA. It's a series sport. Which I think the NBA has the best playoff system of all the sports as far as determining the true champion, but that's an argument for another day.

Villanova - Georgetown. Nova 0-3 going to March Mockier.

The NCAAB regular season is already meaningless.

Pretty sure the 3 regular season games were all close. Decided by a bucket or two

Tell that to a team just on the wrong side of the bubble.
And I don't think either is egregious. If UK and UF meet up, it's because they balled their asses off to get there.

There's no flaws in hypotheticals.
Option A

Personally, they are the exact same thing to me.

Going .250 against a team and being crowned the better team is definitely more egregious than going .500 against a team and being crowned the better team

College basketball has the most meaningless regular season in all of major sports.
This is pretty well known.

Three regular season games...hmmm. 0-3, you are the champions! GOAT. Ugh

Basketball and Baseball seasons don't mean anything save seeding. There is the entertainment value of simply watching the game but one game in the big picture means little. Even with the 4 team CFP, each game still means a whole lot.
