Mizzou's new Offensive Coordinator, Josh Heupel, has impressive resume

at Oklahoma:
2011 - 512 YPG on O and almost 5 TDs per game. D gave up 376 YPG and a little over 2 TDs per game. Also had Landry Jones.
2012 - pretty much same on O in YPG and TDs per game. D gave up 400 YPG and almost 3 TDs per game. Also had Landry Jones
2013 - O comes down to only 423 YPG and 3.3 TDs per game avg. D gives up 350 YPG and about 3 TDs per game. Bell gets about 2/3 of the snaps and Knight the other 1/3. Heupel's O runs up 45 on 'Bama's D in a win in the Sugar Bowl
2014 - O goes up to 464 YPG and 4.5 TD avg. per game. This is statistically close to Heupel's best year, but no Landry Jones. Primarily all snaps go to Trevor Knight. The D gives up almost 400 YPG and an avg. of 3 TDs per game. In their losses, they give up 37, 31, 48, 38, and 40. The O scores 33, 30, 14, 35, and 6. The Bowl game was the killer, but how motivated were they after losing a heartbreaker at home to OK Lite in the final game? Heupel has his worst QB and still puts up offensive #s close to the 2 years he had his best QB, Jones. Stoopid's brother's D was the reason he was let go.
at Utah St, his lone year there:
370 YPG and over 3 TDs avg. Kent Myers had a 151 QB rating with 61% CP, 16 TDs and 3 picks. Keeton was not nearly as good, but with a mobile, good passing QB (Drew Lock), Heupel's QB and O was very efficient.
If Mizzou experienced those offensive numbers last year when we had a top 5 defense, Mizzou would've won the East for a third year in a row.
Mizzou's defense will be stout. Just even a minor uptick in offense will get us to at least 8 wins.

Josh Heupel...the qb of the Oklahoma team who got beat by Ole Piss?

Yeah the same guy that won an Orange Bowl for a NC also. But then they replaced with a flunkie SEC golfer. Who then got replaced by a guy who had Medusa hair and bad knees.

So good he gets fired and OU immediately wins the Big 12 and makes it to the CFP

He actually had playmakers on offense at Oklahoma though.

Mizzou's offense will blow again this year.

OU fans were ready for him to go, but they are always complaining about one coach or another.

Well Big Game Bob could not fire his brother "Fredo" until mom dies so he had to fire someone. Fredo's defense gave up over 25 pts a game. And Josh's offense scored more than 35 pts a game.

In the Big 12, where there is no defense.

Is this the guy who got caught with the trannie on Bourbon St.? New years night at Pat James, three way with a nose tackle?
Let me say that there is nothing wrong with a three way.

OU, Baylor, and TCU are the only consistent high scoring teams in the Big 12.
WVU and Okie Lite have a big game from time to time on offense.
The Big 12 is not the scoring league it used to be. Not because they play defense. The SEC and the PAC 12 are getting more of "their" players in the last few years and it shows on the scoreboard.

Wasn't someone else calling the plays at OU and he was co-OC?

He was the shot caller and QB coach, but he also was co-OC. You're partly right.

So how did the offense and defense rank in conference? Is it true that the defense was ranked second in conference and offense was ranked 5th?

With Josh Heupel as our offensive coordinator and wiBO's championship caliber defense, Mizzou will be back on top in the EAST where we belong. Mizzou stacked, SEC fricked!
ETA: NM. You already mentioned the Heisman trophy. I just read the OP. I didn't read the junk replies until now.
