BREAKING: #Mizzou running back Damarea Crockett was arrested yesterday morning for possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana.

That doesn't mean he possessed 35 grams. Anything less than that is a misdemeanor, so when you're charged that's how it reads. In TN for instance the threshold is an ounce. So the statute you violate is possession of an amount less than an ounce, whether you possessed an ounce or a gram.

Key here is "35 ounces or less". Probably was a harmless amount and was just toking with his buds. The only bad part here is that he couldn't find a better place to do it than the parking lot....

35 GRAMS or less..
even 35 grams can easily just be "personal" weed. 35 Ounces is an entirely different matter..
