Is creating shitty threads going to be a common thing when your sports teams suck? I don't know if I can handle these on an annual basis.

Amazing how many people don't know how NCAA admission requirements work.

Every school in the country overseen by the NCAA has the same basic admission requirements for athletes. 13 of the 14 SEC schools use these basic requirements. One school (Vandy) chooses to maintain higher academic standards for their athletes above that which is required by the NCAA.

As a scholorship athlete it is no more difficult to get into Berkeley (they don't choose to have higher standards) than Alabama.

News Flash!

Mizzou isn't some top 10 academic institution fricktard. You suck because you are a bunch of yanks that don't support college football like we do and because you don't have a talent rich region to recruit in. And did I mention because you are a yank?

Something we're extremely proud of in Missouri! The term "yankee" represents all that is just and moral.

These tards come at us with the word "Yankee" as if that's an insult. I'm insulted if I called anything other than yank.

That top receiver you signed last year was an academic superstar.

Right?

You may want to consider the fact that Missouri is an uncle fricking shithole of a state and an inferior institution compared to most of the SEC schools. Plus, you do not have to sit on rocks at SEC fields...

Mizzou must lower academic requirements and expectations to compete in the SEC or risk becoming the annual bottom dweller.

Most SEC schools thrive in college football because they have extremely low academic expectations for their student athletes. These schools can recruit thugs year in and year out who have no life goals other than reaching the NFL, and at the same time, these schools can save face in light of publicly known poor academic standards.

Hmmm Texas aTm, Florida, UGA seems to be doing well.

Did some UGA guy say they turn away kids who don't live up to UGA admission standards? UGA, like almost everyone, takes the NCAA minimum. Kids go to military school because they don't qualify, not because UGA expects them to be at the level of normal UGA students.

The only place where there is difference among the schools is how they handle the academic matters of student-athletes. If you think that standard is very high at UGA or UF or wherever, you're crazy.
