Kicked off DE Nate Howard (illegal substance), and lost Juco top ten DL Malik Young to eligibility, etc.

I thought our defensive line was gonna be sneaky good this year. I felt we were building some talent, new DL coach, etc.

We'll see what happens hope the offense is better than predicted.

It's already been decided that Mizzou will be the worst team in the SEC.

No shots after the buzzer.

Believe me when I say Brick Haley is not going to make your DL recruiting any better. Your coach just hired brick for recruiting contacts, which are average.

You could replace Haley with a broomstick and get similar DL results. Good luck

I don't know, man. Go look at Danielle Hunter's stats at LSU and now in the NFL. The dude just can't teach DL.

Damn. We have an OL named Malik Young. We could have seen Malik Young go against Malik Young.

Malik Young vs Malik Young
Columbia vs Columbia
Coach Martin vs Coach Martin
Similar program history
Both have won memorable comback wins over each other
Played each other in two bowl games

What could have been

Mizzou had no talent. That's not indicative of coaching talent. They just couldn't match up man to man on the line.

Bricks better than what they've had. He will have em in the running on some kids he just finishes 2nd a lot. But he will give them a chance

I agree, but the lack of coaching made it worse. You may not have realized we had a first round draft pick named Charles Harris on the line. Poor scheme hid their talents.

LSU was better, but the coaching hurt us badly. There's a reason he was fired the week the before Arkansas game

I definitely realized it. I saw Harris get blown off the line all game. He's not a great run defender and yeah, the scheme certainly didn't help. That is one thing that Brick may help, I suppose. Our DLs weren't particularly good at pass rushing outside of Brockers and Montgomery under Haley but they were stout vs the run.

As long as your qb and top wr stay healthy, your offense will keep you in games.
