So you're abandoning your school because you don't like what happened this fall? You said yourself it was a minority of students. It may suck to watch all these events unfold (though really what's happened beyond a shitstika getting blown out of proportion by everyone -- and I do mean everyone) and you may not agree with whatever it is they're protesting but it's a shite reason (no pun intended) to abandon your school and team.

No its not, this school deserves zero support.

microcosm [mahy-kruh-koz-uh m]

noun
1. a little world; a world in miniature.
2. anything that is regarded as a world in miniature.
3. human beings, humanity, society, or the like, viewed as an epitome or miniature of the world or universe that surrounds them.

Mizzou is a microcosm of America right now, self destructive from the inside-out. The tail is wagging the dog. The agenda driven radicals are in charge and pushing their far left wing liberal progressive minority opinion on the majority in the name of whatever false narrative there is available to them at the time.

What is ailing Mizzou is exactly what is ailing America. All the wrong things ... as the OP put it, it's become a cesspool of negativity.

And that's why I get so pissed off with the Mizzou situation. I can't help but see China and Russia in what these clowns are supporting. They are fascists and clearly aren't alone. Yes, these people are the minority, but when we let the minority extremists stand up to us and we cave, then we're spineless pussies. Wolfe and especially Pinkel (don't bother bringing up the cancer) mishandled this so greatly that they turned it into a national circus.

This is what is to come to America if we don't stand up to these entitled coddled monsters. They keep saying "teachers are supposed to make us feel safe and welcome", but no their job is to educate, which often comes with harsh truths that they want to silence. And these monsters vote and will get more and more powerful. We need to nip it in the butt and call these fascists what they are: lying entitled pussies.

The kool-aid drinkers are uninformed or, worse, stupid.

I'm over 40, white, and male. Mizzou doesn't want my involvement. The message you and the university continue to spin is that the majority need to shut up and swallow.

That's never going to happen.

The administration is elitist, racist, and utterly stupid.

At what point does loyalty end?

If these protests had been limited to off the field, non-athletic settings I would have been upset, but remained a strident fan.

The minute. however, the football team threatened to "strike" my loyalty evaporated. Don't ask me to support your team, and the school, when you put other issues above the game and the school. The team chose selfishness over the collective good.

You are always going off on some irrational "the sky is falling" anti Missouri tirade. You will never be happy regardless of what changes are made on campus or on the field of play. Just jump off the ledge already. You'd be so much less miserable.

That's all and good if you're willing to wait until 2035. Yall just had the #60 recruiting class in the nation, which is #13 in the SEC. No one wants to go there anymore, which is especially pathetic considering last year you had back-to-back SEC East Championships.

The recruiting class would be ranked that low whether or not the protest bullshite happened or not. Pinkel wasn't pulling in all the 4 and 5 star recruits before all that went down anyway. It was a down year for area talent, and the recruiting cycle reflected that. The 2017 class will be much better.

You could only convince your defensive coordinator to coach there. Literally anyone who had a feasible career ahead of them refused to coach at your college. How are these clowns going to recruit anyone worth a damn. It's clear these people will only be here for 3 years, and then be fired and move on after this fiasco. They just need to make sure everyone involved in this douchebaggery is out by the time a new good class can come in.

Odom was just as good a candidate as the others anyway. If the coaches are such horrible recruiters, then why has a Scout 300 recruit already committed for 2017?

I honestly hate the whole thing for you.

I've learned to despise the entire left and SJWs in particular. Until there are changes at the school, I hope the cucked Leftist administration suffers.

It sucks for alums and decent people who have emotional connections to the school, though.

From what they told you. I think I remember (roughly) the following quote from your AD: "we interviewed lots of people, and Odom was clearly the only choice." I emphasize the later part of my paraphrase, because I remember that part clearly that he was "the only choice". Not the best choice, but the only choice. That says to me that pretty anyone with a career wouldn't coach there. Seriously, who would want to coach a team that committed mutiny that year and had a coach that respected that? No coach with any dignity would touch that team. If they did, they'd kick out every member of the team that mutinied, or lock them in a room where they'd be repeatably cattle prodded.
