What happened to the Missouri basketball program? When they joined the SEC they were considered the second best team and Frank Haith had won the Big 12 only the year before. Now they are a joke and no one is concerned about playing them in Columbia.

Yall got the #60 class in the nation, despite last year being back to back SEC East Champions and appearing in the SEC Championship. Do you really think this isn't going to have lingering effects for years to come?

Wow! What a bunch of drama Queens, it's the end of the world. MIZZOU will be just fine in time.

The OP is whiny little bitch. If you don't like like the events that transpired, then get involved and push your own agenda.

If you are soooo ashamed of your university that you declare publicly that you will never be a fan again, then you are a loser. Get lost.

i think 2 points is that donations are done and enrollments are down. There are people right now voicing their displeasure and it will only be a mater of time before action has to be taken at some level. The silent majority is speaking loudly with their money.

It happened at UT when they wanted Dooley fired. They withheld funds to UT and they stopped showing up in mass to the games.

the idiots that started this thing got a few concessions and now they wont be happy until they get it all. Down in central Alabama we do not hear much of what is going on though.

Nope. Irreparable damage has been done. You're a school for feminists and black gays now.

I suppose the easy thing to do is walk away but if it's something you cared about, you would fight to restore it to a place that made you care about it in the first place. Not sure if that can happen but I would at least try before just walking away. I thought Missourians were stubborn. Oh well.....

No, I don't.

Sure, it caused some damage but time heals all wounds. People on message boards are very dramatic.

I am sorry, sorry for you, sorry for America. A minority, full of envy and entitlement that has been stoked by opportunist politicians, have decided if they can't have what they want to take from others, no one will have anything good. It isn't going to end well for Missouri and it can spread any day to other universities. It is what it is until we say "enough."

I prefer protests the way they were at Southern Illinois when I went there or the way they are here in Fayetteville.

From what little I can remember of my time at SIU (truly it was a god of party schools back then) the only protests we had there were weed "smoke ins" and people protesting when the price of beer went up, though that did cause a riot of sort. Perfectly normal for SIU back in the day.

Here in Fayetteville the police actively work with the protesters so they can go out, make a symbolic gesture that no one cares about, and then quickly get arrested. Hell, I think the Fayetteville PD planned the last BLM protest we had up here.

So I see the crap is still being posted months later. You and Jagd Tiger should just go ahead and jump off the ledge and get it over with.

OP is right to be pissed. There is a war going on over the social issues at play and one side isn't even fighting back.

The other schools have their heads in the sand if they think this can't happen there, all it would take are the wrong administrators being in place (I'm looking at you Ole Miss...).

I would cut ties until the cancer is removed if it happened at Bama. Really would. 4 tickets on the 50 yard line? GONE.

$$$$ in donations every year. GONE.

All the trips to T-Town and the money spent along the way? GONE.

Most importantly I would send them an email every year when they would've received a check otherwise reminding them the cost of their BS.

Money talks in this world and the people who have it will either stand up to this and stop it or we will all get what we deserve eventually.

Liberalism is ugly and scary, and has been on full display at MU.

I will never abandon Missouri , only some one with no heart for the school, would. U either live and die with MU, or you aren't the fan u claim.

I raised my donation.

I support my school. Always will. I'm not going to let the actions of a few sway me.

You shouldn't, because we've been ahead of the curve on this. We put forth diversity measures for a good decade in order to prevent something like the Mizzou situation from happening. Plus we have the highest African American enrollment in the entire SEC. Haven't heard an inkling from our campus about protests remotely similar to those going around the country. I could see it exploding on Alabama's campus before it does on ours.

Rage quitting is not the answer. It can and will get better. Groups like CS1950 and other protesters have overplayed their hand, and are now beginning to look foolish with stupid arguments and ideas.

Sure, I'm mad as heck about what went down. But if your answer to negative events is quitting, that makes you a quitter, the worst kind of person to me.

I don't mind people not being fans, just don't come crawling back when it gets better, and we start winning again. When you reach the mountaintop, you don't get to celebrate when you rode the elevator there while others actually made the climb.

Long story short....nut up, or shut up.
