So if I'm understanding some here, each year, there is only one good team in the SEC and I should be looking at it along these lines.

Bama - Only good team in the SEC.
Mizzou - Sucks more than Bama.
MSU - Sucks even more.
UGA - Sucks about the same as MSU.
OM - The suckage keeps getting bigger.
Aub - And bigger.
UF - And bigger.
LSU - Suckage reaching disproportionate heights.

and so on down the line.

UGA hasn't won a SECCG since 2005, so I guess the east has been down for 10 years. Since winning the East is meaningless, this also means that UGA sucks hot garbage and deserves no respect for the last 10 years.

Lets look at a few things here shall we?

Mizzou, 4-0 against SEC West teams during the regular season the last 2 years. Arkansas was curb stomping ELITE SEC West teams before they played Mizzou, gets beat by Mizzou, obviously an abnormality.

Last year, UGA lost to a mediocre USC team and an AWFUL Florida team, still expects to go to SECCG?

Georgia is a fricking joke under Richt. Everyone in the conference knows it, the only thing UGA wins in the last 10 years is participation awards. USC was a better team in both 2011 and 2012.

South Carolina and Vandy are garbage programs. Be real man. Missouri is realistically a middle of the pack SEC team. They are not at the level of Alabama, but they are not South Carolina.

It isn't really fair that UGA has to deal with all these injuries every season while the rest of the SEC teams are composed of invulnerable supermen. I wonder what it would be like to have players get hurt and it effect your team.

Why act like injuries didn't debilitate your team in 2012? Not very smart of you.

We were told injuries aren't an excuse....except when they happen to UGA, then it's "but we didn't have everyone!!"

ITS A COLLECTIVE THING jfc the fact that Alabama hasn't won the national championship since 2012 yet you still consider them to be the best proves my point.

Ahhhh, now I see. You are butt hurt over the fact that I consider Bama to be a powerhouse but not LSU. Don't feel bad, that can change as soon as this season. Fact of the matter is that as long as Mizzou has been in the SEC, LSU hasn't exactly been impressive. Doesn't mean it has to stay that way. I like LSU. I think they'll be strong again. But in the last 3 years(granted, small sample size), they haven't been.

Injuries are facts of the game. At the end of the day though I tip the cap to UGA in 2012 and say you were the better team in 2012. I don't say Mizzou was the better team in 2012 but we just got hit with injuries. Does it not make any sense to you how stupid it would sound for Mizzou to claim they were the best team in the east in 2012 just like it's the same for UGA to claim it in 2013 and 2014?

I think most folks are missing the point here. Not many people thought Mizzou could compete going into the SEC - this includes a lot of negative Mizzou fans. 2012 proved them right. Having any level of success in the SEC has been a huge accomplishment for an underrated program.

Winning Conference Championships or competing for national titles was never considered a realistic measure of success for Mizzou. I guess we've exceeded expectations enough to move the bar.

When's the last time Mizzou beat a team that finished in the top 10?

Yes, to your point, An injury here or there is normal for the game.

No, against your point, A ton of Injuries to your strength or weakness is not normal for the game.

As for 2012 vs 13/14, big differences between what was proven each season, so the same exact point can't be applied to each season.

Missouri only has 10 wins in its entire school history against teams ranked in the top 10 at the time the game is played. They have lose over 115 games in their school history against teams ranked in the top 10 when the game is played.

I get it. Not an elite program. You are still missing the point. Many thought they would be complete shite in the SEC - including some Mizzou fans. They are not complete shite - even without beating elite teams.

Typo above....Missouri only has 25 wins its entire school history against teams ranked in the top 10 when the game is played. They have lost 121 times against teams ranked in the top 10 when the game was played.

Then Mizzou is getting the respect it deserves at this point, no less and no more.

In the 15 years before Gary Pinkel became the head coach they had 2 winning seasons, and several 2 or 3 win seasons. I think most everyone is aware that Mizzou football was dog shite for nearly 2 decades. But thanks for the history lesson for those who may not have been aware.

Incidentally, what is the average win-loss percentage against top ten teams? I would think 20% would be well above average. The top 10 represents less than 10% of the FBS schools, and presumably they win most of their games.

That's not it at all but okay. We took the bama team that crushed you in the SECCG to triple overtime but I guess were not that good. Just wait and see next season lsu usually fields a pretty dominant team every 4 years... 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015? It's definately setting up to be that way considering a huge majority of our team was underclassmen/true freshman and we still managed to have the #1 defense in the sec.
