I mentioned Todd Day because he was accused by a female one time and Nolan came down hard on him, hard, well it turned out to be completely false. The biggest crime being committed in the dorms at that time was Oliver sneaking pizzas into his room.

I would hope not, a second one? Should be off the team.

Well, if this is his second one, why did it take Haith so long to give him the boot, word must of came down from higher up.

Haith probably didn't know about the first one. The one that happened in August does not sound at all credible - sounded more like she got mad when she realized she got used instead of getting a boyfriend. The DA declined to prosecute for lack of evidence, but she filed a complaint with the school.

The 2010 incident was apparently a lot more believable, and the press dug it up today. That girl chose not to press charges. But, now it looks like a pattern. Which is why he's gone.

That I can believe, but he was a hell of a player.

Happens. We had a girl get caught up in a gang bang with three players a couple years ago, it was cool until an outside party walked into the room and caught them then the rumor spread, long story short, RAPE!!!!!

It wasn't.

What bothers me is that the girl from 2010 had evidence of force being used, and like most rape victims, was afraid to press charges - she was afraid of retaliation, and didn't want her family to know. Had she pressed charges, based on what's been reported, he would probably be in jail.

Fast forward to 2012 - after he left this girl's apartment, she texted him and said they should get together again. Then, when she realized he wasn't going to be her boyfriend but just used her for sex, she decided she was raped. The 2012 issue wouldn't get him booted. But now it looks like a pattern, and didn't leave them with much of a choice.

I have no sympathy for rapists, but there are some girls out there who will claim it to get back at a guy. And that makes true victims even more afraid to come forward.

I'm not going to take up for him, but in Day's case it was kinky rough sex at play (IIRC), her idea.

Not saying that is what happened.

Who knows what really happened here. What was posted from the police reports made it seem that the 2010 incident was the real deal but she didn't want to press charges. She went to the hospital. The 2012 incident just wasn't credible. The police didn't talk to him either time, apparently.

I'm just glad it's resolved so that he's not just "suspended for a violation of team rules" and in limbo like he has been since October. The team needs to move on. We'll miss him on the court, sure, but we don't need someone like that representing the University.

Years ago when I was college age and stupid, I hooked up with this girl on a one night stand. She was into some kinky shite and asked me to bite her hard. I refused. I didn't want the risk of leaving marks that if she flaked out could be used to misrepresent the situation.

Best to avoid that kind of sex unless you are in a relationship.

Yeah, I don't know, I don't even know if it was just a troll about Mike going to have to believe his player if she didn't go got police and what not.

Just all that reminded me of Day's situation and Mike was here for all of it is all and why he would take his player's side if she wouldn't go to the police.

If that makes sense?

I think the OP was initially just trolling about CMA. He met with the girl, apparently was very kind, and told her he couldn't do anything unless she decided to press charges. Other than suspending him for a couple of games, which he did.

The only part about CMA that bothered me was the "source" that said he really didn't want to find out the truth, but just wanted it dropped. That's not cool. But, it's probably typical. Since the girl didn't want to press charges, it was just brushed under the rug. Until now, when he's accused again. And even though the 2nd accusation wasn't credible, he already had a mark against him. I'd bet Haith didn't know about it until the 2nd incident happened.
