why do you say this? most states that surround Alabama can offer kids a scholarship because of their state funded lottery. I think Ga. calls theirs the Hope scholarship. So how can Bama compete with kids from other states who can potentially get a full ride by going to the state school in the state that they live in. Duh.

That is true. For college baseball, is it best to find a coach with MLB connecting or a long time assistant from a powerhouse program? Ie LSU, Texas or USC

We have had good success with hiring assistant coaches like Bertman from Miami

Make it a full scholarship sport and we might be able to.

MS doesn't have a lottery and State and OM are MUCH better programs than Alabama.

Ron Polk fought this fight with the NCAA for years. They won't budge. Frankly, I don't get it other than the NCAA being the full retards they always are. College baseball would change for the better if it was a full scholarship sport. It would level the playing field as they are usually so fond of.

Alabama will rebuild the baseball program moving forward. The $35 million in facility updates is going to do wonders. Gaspard probably gets a year or two in the new facility.
