LSU firing Les Miles and promoting Orgeron to interim HC is the last thing Missouri should have wanted to see happen.

A reenergized fanbase, pumped up team, and a new philosophy by the coaches is what they'll be facing.

LSU isn't Delaware State, West Virginia, or Georgia. This is still the uber talented team with multiple future NFL players at every level and now they have the fiery passion of Coach O leading them.

Death Valley will be in full effect this Saturday. And no, we're not leaving at halftime. We're prepared to help the team destroy the dreams of invading foes this time around.

I look forward to seeing the Missouri fans make their way down to BR but your team isn't leaving with a win.

LSU - 52
Mizzou - 17

By the end of the 3rd quarter.

Well shite, they may not even show up now after all of that. You've probably ruined the whole thing with this post.

I totally agree that LSU will play very well Saturday.

On a more serious note (as it relates to other SEC teams title hopes... Bama, A&M, Arky, Florida), LSU with nothing to lose would be scary as shite if my team was looking to do big things this year.

I guess we shall see and it's certainly a possibility that LSU could tank, but I've got a feeling EO and a "go have fun and play" LSU squad is gonna do some damage the rest of the way. Of course ironically that will create quite a dilemma for us as well in the coaching search as it relates to O.

That's one way to spin it.

Of course they have less than a week to learn this "new philosophy". And the TE coach has less than a week to get his shite together to call offensive plays.

As an Arkansas fan I've seen how LSU responds to "not having anything to play for" after losing to Bama. Well now they have nothing to play for and it's only 4 games in.

I say they mail it in the rest of the season and Fournette plays not to get hurt.

This feels not as much like a "frick it, season over" and more like a "frick yeah, let the new season begin!"

That said, I'd be stupid to not see the very real possibility of LSU mailing it in the rest of the way.., just Sharing the general consensus of the fan base and players... This feels like a very exciting moment in LSU history that we're in the midst of. The activity and chatter on all the boards kind of exemplifies that... This fan base went from apathetic and disgusted to curious and excited almost overnight.

Uncle Miltie and the AU gang goin to work in BR. Prepare your anus LSU fans.

Dameyune Craig can't coach a WR to catch a damn ball, ie. Dupre. AU's WR's are light years better this year than last.

Ensminger will be calling plays from here on out. Don't care that he played at LSU. Uncle Miltie got dem fat pockets.

Look at your running game this year under Jeff Grimes. AU ranked #3 in the SEC this year in rushing.

It doesn't matter how excited the fan base or the players are.

You can't undo years of Miles' offensive philosophy in a few days. Heard a sports writer say Orgeron had to change everything at USC just to keep the players engaged and coming to practice when he was promoted to interim HC.

It's difficult to change offensive identities over the course of an off-season. Much less during a game week.

By changing the philosophy I didn't mean the playbook. I mean the approach to the game. The way O has organized everything is far different from Miles. Miles would have the team scrimmaging on game week and they'd be spent come Saturday. That all changes.

Very similar teams and history.

Missouri has 15 conference championships. LSU has 14.

I say this with all sincerity....

I love LSU fans. You baws are the gift that keeps on giving. I'm not sure if I like the manic highs or lows better, but God bless

I think Mizzou wins, Mr Rosy Colored glasses.

Those factors you cite may have some effect but not this week.
