Missouri is the Boston College of the SEC

Boston College was an intriguing addition to the ACC back in the mid-2000s.
They didn't fit in geographically but they brought a big TV market and were able to compete immediately in football and basketball
The Eagles won back to back Atlantic Division titles from 2007 to 2008, even cracking the top 5 in 2007 for a few weeks.
Now BC is known for being at the bottom of the ACC standings in football, basketball and many times in baseball, all the while being too far north for the ACC
Missouri has been following this same trajectory since their back-to-back East division titles.
They're now the laughing stock of basketball and pose no threats in baseball.
They're also too far north for the SEC and were supposed to be a big TV market for the conference

At least the ACC schools get a cool road trip to Boston in return for the Golden Eagles watering down their conference. We are stuck with CoMo.

BC hasn't been ranked in the top 5 nationally in either basketball or football the last 5 years

right...their time at the top came in the mid to late 2000s and you see where they are now.
Mizzou's came about 5 or 6 years after that, and now you're headed towards the cellar of the SEC
