Where does Missouri rank as a job for an incoming coach. I know they stink now but based on reputation, potential, etc where is it in the sec
It's better than auburn. But where is it compared to vandy, South Carolina, bama, etc if you were an incoming coach

Missouri is actually a better job than most think. A lot of ppl on here wouldn't compare it to Indiana or other openings, but I think ppl would be surprised that more coaches would be happy to land it.
It's kind of like when Auburn hired Pearl. He has been a let down, but it got fans excited and Auburn thought it would be a good hire.

Missouri is a great job. Good facilities, a program that has proven it can win. M
It's not as great as Missouri fans sell it, and they can't pick and choose who they want. But there's not a lot of coaches that would turn it down.
I'm surprised they had to hire a division 2 coach their last hire, even with the NCAA issues.

Vandy is not a better job. None of the schools listed in the OP is a better job than Mizzou.

Why? Vandy is damn good job to have.

Why would you say it's better than Mizzou?
Missouri has a better program, better facilities, $$$

Been away for a while, but damn, good to see you giving Mizzou some love CNB.
And you're right, Mizzou of course is a better gig than Vandy

Anya Martin's tweet last night has me kinda worried.
She was pissed as hell at the Gamecock fans (or lack there of at the game) as well as their poor support during the game.
She flat out called us out on twitter.
She finished the tweet with #Disappointed

Meh.
It's becoming a pattern how we look like shite down the stretch. That can be blamed on one person.
And it ain't a fan.

Nashville >CoMo. Selling point to land a coach
Academics...believe it or not, it is a major factor for some top talent and their parents. (Selling point over schools to recruits).
Mizzou may have a better arena...so? Every program now has the "practice facility" where they train. I would not put much stock in the arena angle.
Vandy does have big time donors not only in academic but have been coughing up cash in athletics.
Let's not act like Vandy struggle to get a coach when Stallings left, they went after one man ( who was being pursued by many programs) and landed him quickly. Vandy is a great gig.

Your other points are okay, but you lost me here?

True.
But if she starts griping in CFM's ear about it enough, Mizzou just might wiggle their way in there after all.
Happy wife, happy life and all that bullshite. Hopefully he just gives her the CFM stare of death.

Missouri shouldn't want Frank Martin. They troll on here, but they absolutely can do better. Plus Martin would be too expensive for what they get.
I don't see him moving North anyways unless it's for a program like Indiana. Nor do I see him going to another SEC team

I'm not saying Vandy is a bad job at all. But Missouri is a better job.

I'll be honest and I don't mean this as a troll but I'd be underwhelmed if LSU hired Frank Martin

It's also because you're an hour and a half from KC and St.Louis, which both produce elite basketball talent.
Mizzou is a good job because it's really a basketball school.

I don't blame you.
His offense is a pain in the arse to watch. Great defense, but that only takes you so far. And this is the 2nd year in a row we've looked like hot Aggie shite after February.

Majority programs have a "basketball practice facility" where they train seperate from their arena. Vandy just dumped a ton of money in their training facilities, training room, weight room, academic study hall...plus recruits are about living arrangements. You act like Vanderbilt has not invested to compete in the "arms race". They have.

Lulz, Memphis, Atlanta, etc.
Basketball recruiting is national anymore due to AAU.
ETA: Vandy is known as an academic and basketball school.
