Mississippi State's greatest...

...bowl win (Orange) was over Georgetown in 1941.
...running back (and spoken word poet) is Anthony Dixon. "Boobie", as he is known, no longer "grinds" in the NFL, but is a marquee player in The Spring League.
...wide receiver is Fred Ross with 2,528 yards. Ross wasn't drafted, so Eric Moulds would probably get some consideration in this spot based on NFL production.
..quarterback is Wayne Madkin. But, but, Dak, right? Dak was obviously a better passer but never won the SEC West. Madkin is in the Bulldog HoF, and he presently works at Entergy's Nuclear division. Clear advantage, Madkin.
...coach is Allyn McKeen who went 65-19 from 1939 to 1948 and had that huge Orange Bowl win over Georgetown, which briefly took everyone's mind off of Hitler taking over Europe.
Honorable mention to Jackie Sherrill, who lost more games than he won but is known for the greatest motivational castration since the Romans came up with the word "testify".
...overall player is consensus All-American Fred Smoot, who enjoys casual boating on Lake Minnetonka. Coincidentally, he doesn't always use double-ended rubber phalluses on prostitutes. But when he does, he chooses purple ones. It makes one think.
Honorable meantion goes to Shorty McWilliams who left State in 1945 to win a championship at Army but returned to State in '46 & 47. He was also drafted to play pro ball three years in a row!
Honorable mention #2 goes to Keefer McGee. Dude was good at football and by all accounts was good at life before his tragic demise.
...foe is LSU, who has scored 2,321 points against State. Mississippi State has a .341 win% in 107 games against the Tigers. Alabama gets honourable mention for their staggering .920 winning percentage in 97 games against State.

I'll admit it. It's not my best stuff. It's late.
I get bored reading all the same trope on this board. Every now and then I try something original. This one was heavy on pointless research and lacked focus. I apologize for not meeting your standards, you denizens of the late night sports message board.
