Mississippi State Players: Auburn is Our Super Bowl

Twenty players on MSU's roster call Alabama home.
Brown, a Louisiana native, said he was overcome with emotion following the monumental victory last season in Starkville. "I haven't shown emotion after a game since I lost my championship in third grade," he said.
"It just seems like when we play those guys, if we win, we have a good year," MSU cornerback Taveze Calhoun said. "If we lose, we have a not-so-good year. That game right there is a big game because it's usually the first tough game we have. I think that's what makes the game so big.
"I don't know. There's just something about that game."

Yeah, we are pretty much the super bowl for most SEC teams we play.
UGA and bama especially.

He called is a "big game". It was #2 Vs. #3, CBS was there. It was a big game.

no one from Arkansas has ever thought of Auburn as a superbowl. We have more history with Ole miss, lsu, a&m, tenn. Auburn is more of a game we should win and sucks if we don't because if we can't win that one the big dogs are gonna kick our arse, kinda the same way we think of Miss state.

I also read comments from State players saying the Auburn game was a big game because it was usually the first good team they play. Since they have played LSU before Auburn the last two years, it is safe to say most State players think LSU isn't any good
